I know, after Kishi intend to finish his new series for god knows how long, he'll jump back to finish Naruto and if it's not the case then he'll just leave it all this loose ending and Studio Pierrot will take his place for milking this naruto franchise since they are known spamming alot of fillers even with Hiden novels.

Yeah. It seems the purpose of Kaguya's army wasn't explained. I'm guessing Kishimoto-sensei is leaving some loose ends in case he decides to return to work on Naruto. :lol

It sound to me like kaguya is going to be revive at some point since she's seemingly the source that drives other Ootsutsuki to do the same
