Modern Warfare 3 vs. Battlefield 3

So, there has been a lot of discussion about these two and which one of them are better. Since they haven't come out yet, I'll post my speculation here of which one is better

Modern Warfare 3:

From what I've heard from Xbox news and other game sites, Modern Warfare 3 will run on much higher framerate than the other FPS games coming out this year. This is one of the many ways it is trying to promote itself to viewers.

It will also follow the story which begins from United States being bombed (or at least the demo does) and you will get to play in America (Washington?), England (London), France (Paris?), Germany (Unknown?) stages.

One of the biggest pros of the series is it's multiplayer. Unlike Battlefield series, it offers the gamers large variant of game modes and is constantly rewarding the players for playing. This also keeps the players constantly ''addicted'' to the game.

There isn't much cons in this game(series). The only thing that annoys me is the attitude of the characters. I mean, in Call of Duty series, you've always been macho with few of your buddies and went berserk ''Alright, boys. It is time we end this war and kill some (almost always Russian) motherfuckers''.

Battlefield 3:

Battlefield series has been always unique series by EA. The story itself isn't all that glorious in the games and it may not surprise anyone but the sound effects and game development has shined in it. It may not look as great as Modern Warfare series but it has shown how fun it can be to work as a team and has introduced a large arsenal of different vehicles for us to use.

The multiplayer maps are big but there isn't many gamemodes and in my opinion, the maps are too big for just handful of guys.

Unless Battlefield 3 makes big changes, it will pale in comparison to the Modern Warfare 3 and its multiplayer.

Hate me if you want but that is the truth. Rep is also appreciated. Personally, I will most likely buy MW3 first and BF3 later, so I will go with MW3 unless there are some huge changes to Battlefield 3

yea i read it. but i saw both games and in my opinion battlefield 3 is better and more enjoyable. they are making huge improvements tht will sink MOW3 ship. MOW3 in my opinion is just the same as number 2 nothing new.

The Call of Duty Series is an amazing FPS franchise. Unfortunately, it's plagued with f*cking retards. So it doesn't really matter what features/specs the games have. : \

That said, I'd play Battlefield 3 for the multiplayer experience, although Call of Duty is probably the better game.

Nope, it doesn't all depend on the player. Price is important thing and looks too. It's ridiculous to say that it would all depend on the player.

Battlefield 3 because I have found many of the battlefield games very enjoyable, while in comparason I have generally found Cod games disapointing. I just prefer the general style battlefield games have, ie large maps, tactical(ish) play, vehicles etc.

- BF > more realistic, using vehicles and great sound

If i would buy a game, i would buy MW3 just because in my eyes, it plays more fun. But both games are fun in their own ways, so u must decide which u want to buy.

Also for those BF3 fanboys: You say that MW3 equals MW2. Are you fucking dumb? Would Infinity Ward and Call of Duty franchise risk their fame/name just by sitting on their thumbs?! Infinity Ward didn't take much part if any at all in Black Ops so I expect that they've come up with all kinds of crazy shit like the survival mode where you can buy killstreaks (Zombies avec AC130 = Win).

My reason?
Because of it`s awesome gameplay,it is simply brilliant.
To all of you saying it is not realistic enough,I`ll give you a machine gun and a helmet,and send you to Iraq,there you will experience something far more than an FPS.
BF seems like a Strategy game,from a First Person angle,I don't like it.
Being a gamer on both PC and 360,both of them always have the MW 2 disc in.

Im am personally sick of Call of Duty after world at war, the game has presented nothing new same shit over and over. Sorry Xbox fanboys and COD fans alike im going with Battlefield 3 realistic gameplay, more cooperation , vehicles, destructable environment/ buildings what more can you ask for? Battefield 3 is a true war game, the COD franchise is so much alike i loved COD 4 though.

Cod 4 was amazing. After that it died, there too rushed now and glitchy

Battlefield was a spark of fresh air, Less whiny 12-year old kids play it, huge maps. Actually involves teamwork. I Could go on

IMO Mw3 looks terrible. It's the same guns, same type of story, same GFX every single time. Also with the loss of a lot of key developers when activision signed Infinity ward, the game will suffer. You also forgot to mention that you will have to pay $10 more a month on XBL if you want certain features. It's rather ludicrous as they are basically taking advantage of their young fanbase (because mostly 12-14 year olds play it) who will beg their parents to pay the extra 10 a month.

Battlefield 3 should, and IMO will beat Mw3 this time. The graphics look amazing, the gameplay is different and inviting, and it's just a better game. It offers the same things as Mw3 but without the $10 stipend.
