Mitsuki name meaning:

Mitsuki (みつき, ミツキ?) is the Japanese word for "three months" (三月?).

Mitsuki can be written using different kanji characters and can mean:

三月, "three months"
as a given name
満月, "full, moon"
美月, "beauty, moon"
光月, "light, moon"
光希, "light, rare"
光揮, "light, wield"
光輝, "light, brightness"
The name can also be written in hiragana or katakana.

I believe that Mitsuki's katakana was supposed to read 満月, which means full moon. Now I searched Toneri and found nothing ... So I went with the next best choice.

It's the kanji for "Water" and "Moon

Japanese "suigetu" has various meanings

*simply water and moon...beautiful combination
*the moon that reflects in water...like phantom..illusion..etc

However someone said:

"I think Suigetsu in Naruto has various meanings too.
However, the moon that reflects in water is most suitable for his name.
Because he is a ninja who relates to water"

So I think that's where Kishimoto went with calling him Mitsuki, to tie in with "water" and "moon".

He has "snake" eyes (very similar to Oro's) and in the second chapter he seemed to be very interested in Sarada and her Uchiha blood. It was also said he is from another village, so I believe that Kishi is hinting Oro. I think it would be pointless if he was Suigetsu or Toneri's child, being Oro makes much more sense.

I don't think he was interested in her Uchiha blood. Though he is very knowledgeable in the clan(s) of Konohagakure, despite only joining the village just recently according to both Sarada/ChouChou.

All we know so far is that he is mysterious, and he is Boruto's friend or possibly /best friend/.

His eyes are yellow but his pupils aren't snake like.

Oro's pupils go straight up and down. Mitsuki's are round like normal people. He doesnt have snake eyes

Considering it was said he was from another village originally, I wouldnt be surprised if he was suigetsu's child, espically given the hair colour.

Well let's say Mitsuki was Suigetsu's child...what reason would Suigetsu have of bringing his child to Konoha? Mitsuki was from another village after all. Would that mean that Suigetsu is living in Konoha or had some emotional tie to Konoha? The only thing connecting Suigetsu and Konoha is Sasuke. I'm also curious as to where he got his yellow eyes from. I don't think he's Suigetsu's kid mostly because he really is super badass looking and SMART.
