This post marks the beginning of my mission: Fight an individual of comparable strength (3)


Very well, Be sure to let us know when you surrender. I hope you know how to use that sword.
Akipa would reply with a mischievous smile as the duo charged straight at Kaname. Kurapika would have his unfolded shield on his right forearm and a Karambit in his left hand. They'd enter Kaname's range at the same time due to Kurapika intentionally reducing his speed so as to match Akipa. Akipa would flank Kaname from his(Kaname's) left while Kurapika would do so from his(Kaname's) right.

Akipa would hit high aiming for Kaname's face with a lateral right kick. The kick would send the dark skinned man flying 5 meters backwards. Simultaneously, Kurapika would drop low and deliver a low left kick to Kaname's ankles sweeping his feet from underneath him making it easier for Akipa's keep to send him flying. Both attacks would be carried out simultaneously.

Kaname watches as the twin dashes forward, flanking him from both sides which was predictable. The boys were obviously maximizing their number, attempting an assault from both sides. As soon as they enter striking distance, unknown to both, they'll feel themselves slower than normal, all thanks to Kaname's speed resistance speciality which deals -1 base speed as soon as they come close, making their advent in slow motion.

In reaction to their attempted moves, Kaname would create a significant surge of wind around him that pushes both boys back from where they came, dealing slight cuts to them. After stabbing his Zanpākuto into the earth in front of him, Kaname would continue by charging sound chakra into both hands, creating a vibration field that resonates at different low frequencies around him. As soon as he claps both hands, he would create a massive shockwave of sound that pushes Kurapika & Akipa further backwards, dealing significant damage as the sound resonates through Kurapika's bones and Akipa's rubbery insides.

Kaname would place his right hand on the hilt of his sword leaning slightly before speaking mockingly. "Forgive me, I got sick from the stench from both of you. You should keep your distance for now."

Sensing Kaname's chakra build up, Akipa would whisper a single word loud enough for Kurapika to hear. The word roughly translates to "Defend" from the Bengal Monitor language. Sensing the chakra buildup would give Akipa ample to time to release chakra from both feets, both palms and also his mouth while stopping the kick motion. The chakra would be shape manipulated to form an A rank cone like shape that'd surround his body with the sharp pointy part extending horizontally outwards in an attempt to pierce Kaname's torso. The cone's aerodynamic shape would prevent the wind from pushing him backwards.

Description: Akipa is an autonomous puppet forged by Kurapika himself to deceive foe and friend alike. The puppet is a spitting image of Kurapika easily mistaken for a shadow clone, under the false skin Akipa is made up of layers of chakra saturated metals and rubber which prevents foreign users of both elements to manipulate Akipa's components. Unlike most autonomous puppets that have one central CPU, every section of Akipa's body has it's own backup processing unit which allows parts of Akipa to function independently even when detached from the main body. To further make him indistinguishable from Kurapika, Akipa is programmed with Kurapika's memories and personality. This allows him to effortlessly act and speak like Kurapika. Akipa is capable of using all non-bio specific Taijutsu and puppetry techniques and has inbuilt thermal and chakra sensors.

Akipa's batteries gives it a base 250 chakra pool which he can use to power his abilities. The chakra pool can be manually recharged by transferring chakra to it via physical contact or in the case of an enemy, Akipa can forcefully absorb 50 chakra through physical contact. To prevent damage from the more potent forms of chakra, the absorbed chakra is broken down before being saved in the batteries. Similarly to its CPUs, Akipa's batteries are also situated all over his body to allow detached parts have power to function and also to fool traditional chakra sensors (sharingan and rinnegan included) seeing as he'd also be sensed as a mass of chakra like his user.

Core ability:
Akipa can release chakra from his palm, his feet and his mouth. The released chakra can be in the form of a blast, a wave or even to form non-complex structures (A or S rank strength) e.g pillars/hands/tools etc that can travel up to longrange from Akipa. Due to the shape manipulation of the structures, they are neutral to all elemental techniques (Similarly to rasengan).
The released chakra can also be used as a propellant for Akipa to dodge attacks and/or initiate his own (A rank, adds +30 damage if used with a Taijutsu move), capable of taking him from short range to long range at 2 times his normal speed. Like normal ninjas, Akipa can passively walk on water/walls/ceilings etc.

Defensive ability:
Akipa is very durable due to its build up, Freeform attacks and C rank and below jutsus don't affect him. He has an S rank durability meaning he'll be knocked out after being hit with an S rank or 2 A ranks or 4 B ranks. However, should the attack specifically target only one part of his body(with the exception of torso or head), the other parts can continue functioning.

Note:
- At any point, the user can take manual control of Akipa using the puppetry chakra string.
- Rubber protects the puppet from all non-focused electricity A-Rank and below 3x per fight
- Dodging attacks with chakra propellant can only be done once a turn and it counts as a move.
- Recharging Akipa's pool (Both forms) can be done in the same timeframe as another chakra-related move however recharging chakra from opponent counts as a move.
- Due to his non organic mind, Akipa is immune to Genjutsu.
- Akipa's moves at the base speed of a jonin
- Akipa can also be carried in a scroll
- Takes up one of the user's auto puppet slots
- When used by another bio. This puppet is made in the bio's form and is programmed with the bio's memories/personality.

Akipa had never led him astray, his faithful puppet wouldn't start now. Using the shield on his arm as a catalyst, Kurapika would erect a sphere around himself, the sphere would be big enough to slam into Kaname's body but not big enough to touch Akipa (Kaname is closer to Kurapika afterall). Being made of condensed fire chakra, the sphere would effortlessly burn through the wind surge and then burn Kaname on impact.

Description: This is the standard elemental defensive core for the ways of the avenger. The user can envelop themselves completly in a sphere of elemental chakra. This is achieve by using the round shield as a catalyst for creating a barrier like sphere of defensive elemental chakra around the user. All the forms of the spheres can be slightly adjusted on the fly to focus higher concentration of chakra at points of impact as well. This form will stay active for one full turn and will move with the users shield and user.

Earth- when the user envelops an earth form of sphere chakra around themselves they will enhance anything the chakra touches. This chakra is the same as super light weight earth style, or super added weight earth style. Which will have a unique effect against any solids that come into contact with the sphere. It will remove the weight or add weight to solid objects making the impact against the shield or body minimal in damage or more detrimental.

Fire- this form of the sphere will encompass extremely condensed sphere of fire chakra. This will ignite things that come into contact with the sphere be it elemental interaction or taijutsu interactions.

Water- a core fundamental for defending this sphere of water chakra will water log and slow some force from the incoming jutsu's. This is achieved because of the highly condensed layer of water chakra being used that acts like a cushion of sorts.

Wind- this form of wind sphere chakra will work like a cutting zone. Very fine sharp blades of wind chakra will be circling the user and will slice objects that come into contact with the sphere of wind chakra.

Lightning- the Lightning form sphere is likely the most dangerous usage of this style. It has raw power and also paralysis type after effects as well. It can serve as a great taijutsu defensive ability or a swarming type of ability. Forcing yourself towards the enemy with this active will be a way to close the distance of range between yourselves. It has more of a net type of focus rather then cutting. Which will focus more on paralysis due to this aspect.

With his enhanced hearing (thanks to his dispatch speciality), Kaname was able to hear the slight change in the duos movement as soon as the wind gust left his body. Needing nothing more than chakra manipulation, in response to both Akipa's chakra cone and Kurapika's shield charge, Kaname would take a wide step backwards, leaving a mud outline of his entire body in his former position which takes the full brunt of the assault.

Following up with his swift retreat, Kaname would charge sound chakra into his throat as he lets out a mighty roar sending a massive shockwave of destructive sounds that levels everything in its path. The mud outline, Kurapika, his companion and everything in front of the dark skinned shinobi would be sent spiralling backwards, damaged. A roar of that magnitude was more than enough to shake the whole landmark and even scare the spectators.

"I said I wanted my space, y'all still stay back. Is that too much to ask?"

(Doton: Doro Shifuto) Earth release: Mud Shift

Description: The user first knead chakra through their body then perform a quick wide gap back step, as the user move backward they release the stored up chakra immediately, this would leave a mass of chakra in the shape [that is outline] of the user's body, the chakra form would not take the distinctive
features of the user just the borderline that is just the shape of the head, body and limbs, basically its a statue of the user. Then at the user's will they can convert this mass chakra into mud, the chakra statue then act as a trap, upon contact from the opponent, the chakra statue would act as a glue sticking hard to the opponent hence restraining free
movement and trapping them. The user can also toss the chakra statue at the enemy. The chakra statue is an advanced manipulation similar to hinata's twin lion fist. The chakra statue appearance would resemble that of a ghostly figure making it hard for normal eyes to notice. When meet by an elemental jutsu, the chakra statue simply act as a barrier.

Description: This is a much greater and skilled version of the (Ototon: Hibiki Rendan no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Echo Assault Skill technique in which the user gathers his sound chakra into his throat as he inhales afterwards exhaling as he screams, yells or roars. The resulting effect is a massive shockwave of low frequency, high amplitude destructive sound that levels anything in its path. The biggest different is that the user can control the area of affect of the technique, depending on the range he targets and the angle of the sound waves his sound waves take. 180º to 90º, the technique is Short Ranged. 90º to 45º, the technique is Mid-Range and from 5º to 45º the technique is Long Ranged. If used within a water source it receives +20 damage.

Kaname's intent seems to be moving away from the duo. That in itself raised a few questions in Kurapika's head, most sword wielders embrace close quarters combat... This dark skinned man however didn't seem the slightest bit interested. As Kaname released the mud clone, Kurapika would reach out with his chakra to mess with his opponent's nervous system. Several big snakes would seemingly burst out the ground beneath Kaname binding him with such strength that he'd be unable to inhale or even open his mouth to roar. The snakes would of course crush him afterwards. In reality he'd be immobilized in all sense of the word.

Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

Simultaneously Akipa would carry out 2 different things - his body parts acting independently. He'd release an S rank shape manipulated spear of chakra from his mouth that would be aimed at Kaname's torso and also release another S rank shape manipulated spear of chakra from his right hand that would also be aimed at Kaname's torso. The shape manipulation would make the tools neutral to all elemental interactions.

Before Kaname could proceed with his sound technique, he would feel inhibited as several snakes seemingly appears from beneath him, constricting and holding him in place. But something was definitely wrong. For starters, Kurapika didn't make any summoning rituals to bring forth the reptiles, a feat questioning their existence. Also, Kaname was unable to feel the normal slippery bodies of the cold blooded reptiles as they constricted him, signifying they were unreal and only figments of his imagination. Such cheap parlour tricks amused Kaname as he proceeded to break free from the illusion.

Suddenly Kaname would release a burst of earth chakra from every chakra point in his body which does two things. The sudden surge of chakra would be more than enough to dispel the flimsy illusion and also form a dense armour of rock around his body for protection. Although, it wasn't like he needed it.

Immediately Kaname regains his senses, he would be alerted of Akipa's chakra spear constructs honing for his torso. In response, Kaname would imitate a unique style of combat that allows him to move gracefully out of the way by swaying to his left, completing a clockwise spin that removes him from harm's way. Both of Akipa's spears would miss their target and fly into the ground.

"Ah, I'm a bit rusty for a 2v1. Why don't one of you boys take a break while I spar with the other? Sounds fair, yes?"

As he speaks, he'd shed the earth armour and readies a stance in preparation for a fist fight perhaps.

(Doton: Koka no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hardening Technique

Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.

Hearing the dark skinned man's words, Kurapika and Akipa would stop from going through with a new counter attack but rather stop and listen. Akipa would yawn and back away, something about not getting enough sleep the previous night. Kurapika knew it was a lie tho. His puppet had made the logical decision and realized Kurapika was in a better position to win the fight.

Akipa would walk over to Kurapika and place his hand on Kurapika's shoulder, a touching (pun intended) moment except Akipa would use the motion to passively refill his chakra battery. Kurapika's chakra levels could regenerate, sadly Akipa's could not.

When Akipa exits the 50meter radius, Kurapika would run towards Kaname. Closing the short distance in a few strides. The forward momentum would be turned into a forceful right uppercut that'd be also be boosted with lightning for that extra oooppph.

Taking a simple stance as Kurapika charges in for the lightning garnished upper cut, Kaname would lean slightly backwards as he reacts by slapping the fist to his left with the back of his left hand diverting the punch sideways while leaving Kurapika's body open to a counter assault.

As the punch is diverted, Kaname would follow up with a strong fist punch straight into Kurapika's open chest, sending him staggering backwards. That wasn't all, Kaname would double up on the offense by swinging very low to perform a leg sweep that removes the blonde's footing in a flash. He then jumps upwards, draws his right leg up to his chest before extending them swiftly to deliver a stomp to Kurapika's chest, once again.

"I think you should stay down now."

(Shubi Kurēn) Defensive Crane

Description: A very advanced and complex defensive form, the Defensive Crane allows the user to divert the path of incoming attacks with the back of his hands, using circular and wide movements that expand outwards. He can intercept weapons or incoming taijutsu attacks. The technique is best used when facing an opposing Taijutsu move by diverting the incoming limb to one side and combo the defensive stance with an attack, exploiting the opening created.

Description: A very advanced and complex defensive form, the Defensive Crane allows the user to divert the path of incoming attacks with the back of his hands, using circular and wide movements that expand outwards. He can intercept weapons or incoming taijutsu attacks. The technique is best used when facing an opposing Taijutsu move by diverting the incoming limb to one side and combo the defensive stance with an attack, exploiting the opening created.

Description: The user swings low and performs a leg sweep. As he causes the enemy to fall, he jumps upwards and draws his legs in his chest, and then extends them swiftly, stomping him in the chest with great force.
As Kurapika's punch is diverted, he would instantly go on the offensive by releasing a burst of chakra, the burst would make him momentarily move at twice his speed. Solely for one purpose, he'd slam the edge of his shield into Kaname's chest sending him barreling backwards. His sudden change of pace would cause Kaname's intended punch to miss its target.

Description: This is one of the close range techniques of the avengers art, whenever an opponent launches a short range physical attack on the user e.g Taijutsu or small techniques like rasengan, chidori or even small fireballs, the user will release a short burst of chakra to temporarily increase their speed 2× while stepping in closer to the opponent after which the user slams the edge/flat end of the shield into the opponent (Imagine you trying to hit someone standing within arms length and the person suddenly moves faster than they do normally and gets up close, that cause you to miss). An alternative usage is for the user to sidestep and then move faster before dealing the blow.

With Kurapika's sudden burst of speed at close range, Kaname was obviously in a tight position to pull a sufficient counter measure. In a moment's notice, an armour made of raw earthen chakra would be formed around the Djinn clan member's body, having more than enough defense properties to tank the damage.

Due to the move requiring no hand seals, it would be created just in time as Kurapika's short dash.

Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.

With Kaname skidding back from the force of the blow, Kurapika would notice the earthen armor shielding his body. His opponent had reacted fast enough to defend the burst of speed... Interesting.

Likewise, we should get back to the others now.

Kurapika would stand upright and do a few stretches, the fight had definitely helped with the effects of the hangover.
