Because he was doing it off his own chakra then. Now he has Kurama's, who knows what the Kyuubi's chakra did for him?

That's a very good point. Maybe he couldn't do it without Kurama's chakra. Also everyone keeps saying Kakashi is now OP but as with any great jutsu it has a risk (the more he uses it the more it's sealed) I wonder how many more times he can use kamui before he goes blind in that eye.

In this chapter we got the confirmation that Kakashi did warped the Hachibi in and out Kamui's dimension like i've mentioned earlier. Kurama just replenished his chakra like i thought(many people thought he had infinite chakra reserve). It clearly shows that it's something Kakashi can do with full chakra, and he even did it 2times(to send him in and out the dimension)

This chapter also confirms that even when you're in Kurama's chakra cloak, it doesn't recover your chakra like some people wanted to say(proof for that is that Gai didn't recovered, you can see it on this pic). Kurama is the one who can give you chakra and he decide when to give it to you by touching your hand
