Didn't a Nazi say this? That's ironic, really. If you say something loud enough and often enough eventually people will believe it, no matter if it's actually true.
Well, historically, Conservatives don't help minorities. Most civil rights legislation has been passed under democratic administrations and liberal supreme courts. Republican's have a vested interest in getting the white vote, which is why they went so far as to play off of racial divides in their "southern strategy." Lee A****er summed it up in his anonymousThe prevailing thought is that liberals help minorities, and conservatives don't. This couldn't be further from the truth.

(warning: n word) in 1981. Lee A****er, by the way, worked as a campaign strategist for Nixon, Reagan, and as head campaign manager for George Bush Sr. More evidence for this "strategy" would be how Reagan started off his campaign in Philadelphia, Miss., which was very racist part of the country at the time. Now, when you get down to the actual conservative policies, do they help minorities? Not only would cutting social safety nets like food stamps and welfare hurt minorities, the whole concept of cutting them has racist connotations as explained by Lee A****er. The War on Drugs, a Republican initiative, has also had a harmful effect on minority communities. Even little things, like voter ID laws and drug-testing for welfare recipients are detrimental and carry racist connotations.
None of this made sense. First of all, they did raise the minimum wage in the 40s. You need to take into inflation and costs of living. In the 1930's FDR enacted a minimum wage law. They didn't raise the minimum wage at all in the 40's so it basically didn't exist. In 1949 black teenage unemployment was only 9%. Today it is 43%. Are people more racist today than in 1949? The answer is obviously no so we must turn back to the minimum wage law.
You're argument is that minimum wage has somehow had a detrimental effect on black youth. There is no evidence to suggest that the minimum wage law has had any effect on black youth in particular, as all youth unemployment has followed a similar trend. Although many economists used to believe that minimum wage increases caused unemployment, that started to change in the 21st century. Even before the 21st century, economists mainly attributed unemployment to many different things aside from minimum wage as there were only marginal unemployment increases depending on the state and cities when correlated with it. Those notions changed when Card and Krueger did a study about it in the 90s. Now many economists support minimum wage increases across the board.
Is there any evidence for schools intentionally performing worse to get money? Or is that something else you parrot from other misguided conservatives? What coincides with un-employment? Government dependence namely welfare. Welfare dependence is even extended into the public school system. Schools with lower test scores get the money, so why would they teach their kids? It's taking the schools check away. Really what a positive liberal contributions to minorities?
"If their policies stood up to testing as being successful, then I'd have no choice but to agree with them"But I don't blindly hate them. If their policies stood up to testing as being successful, then I'd have no choice but to agree with them
God, this is such a cringy statement. You realize most civilized countries wouldn't utilize welfare or minimum wages if they were absolute failures right?
I mean, you say dumb things like that while ignoring why we even started using "liberal policies" in the first place. I've seen a trend of conservatives, republicans, and libertarians ignore basic economics and history. Shit we all learn in school. Its very sad.
lmao Atwater is censored because it has **** in it.
