Minorities blinded by liberal rhetoric

If you say something loud enough and often enough eventually people will believe it, no matter if it's actually true. The prevailing thought is that liberals help minorities, and conservatives don't. This couldn't be further from the truth. In the 1930's FDR enacted a minimum wage law. They didn't raise the minimum wage at all in the 40's so it basically didn't exist. In 1949 black teenage unemployment was only 9%. Today it is 43%. Are people more racist today than in 1949? The answer is obviously no so we must turn back to the minimum wage law. What coincides with un-employment? Government dependence namely welfare. Welfare dependence is even extended into the public school system. Schools with lower test scores get the money, so why would they teach their kids? It's taking the schools check away. Really what a positive liberal contributions to minorities?

If you're going to get rid of minimum wage, what are you going to do to protect us from the lunacy of big business?

See, I agree about welfare. I think if minimum wage went up, and welfare was cut back some, then it would lessen both the reason and cause for government dependency.

It would increase incentive to work, and also circulate money. It would lessen both the appeal and need for welfare, and the only people to really take a hit are the over payed CEOs.

Why do most people make far more than the minimum wage if the companies don't have to pay them that? Obviously because they've gained skills and their company is scared that someone would pay them more and steal them away. Ill say it again with no minimum wage black teenage unemployment was only 9%. Now and since the 80's its 40%. Obviously businesses could afford the 30% difference if they didn't have to pay minimum wage. Their skills would get them fair pay and off welfare. I'm not explaining this again. The whole argument about "those that can't find jobs" is dumb. Doing away with minimum wage in itself would create jobs, you need nothing to replace it with.

The majority of the population IS white, that isn't sonething that media can change. So that doesn't make sense.

But I think what you mean is the "prejudice" that whites are facing these days. Along with Christians, straights, and conservatives, all previously the majority, who, now being placed at an equal level with minorities, are starting to feel discriminated.

The recognition of unfair treatment of gays, blacks, Muslims, women, and other people are being brought up, and it just so happens that straight white male conservative Christians don't like it. Now that people are again recognizing the discrimination that's STILL been occurring in America, hell throughout the world, it's making certain people have to change their lives to become more accepting, or at least tolerant.

Whites are no longer allowed to be ignorantly priveledged, they have to help equal the system, or at least recognize it is flawed. They fell "offended" by this

Christians can no longer dictate the lives and rights of gays. Their beliefs are now being "violated".

Men can no longer treat women as *** objects without them fighting back. And now feminists are "sexist" (admittedly some are crazy)

But the point is, no, majorities aren't being discriminated (usually), they are just experiencing a loss of social power. And it upsets their comfort.
