I'm having trouble believing you. I think you may be lying to prove a point. It doesn't have long term effects so how can it cause mental illness, if it caused mental illness than they wouldn't give it to people who were scared sh!tless about dyeing. It doesn't cause heart failure strokes, or seizures either. It can cause insomnia, and very light stomach pains while using it, but it's not he type of drug you can take everyday and get high from so insomnia won't last. If you take acid two days in a row, the second day you won't feel it. So insomnia may last for only a couple hours. If these are your arguments against it, than go look at the long list of problems any other prescription drug will give you these days and it'll far larger. Your professor is lying for the most part.
