That logic makes no sense! He couldn't finish it because he died, not because he was unable to. You just took out the most logical element for him to have with no basis. Everything points to him having wind chakra, his name means wave and wind, Naruto has wind so one of his parents had to have had it, and this last manga chapter it looks like he is using wind jutsu to lengthen his kunai.

Also I know movies and anime aren't canon but Minato uses wind chakra in the latest movie.

No it is not as simple as that. Rasengan isn't an elemental jutsu, it is just chakra spinning in circles. I'm not disagreeing that Minato has wind element but your facts and thus logic are wrong.

Naruto also does the Rasengan and he's wind.. So maybe Wind affinity?.. And for the yellow flash i think Lightning.. Maybe one of these two.. Or maybe both..

Just to make sure everyone knows, the reason he is called the 'Yellow Flash' is because he was so fast that all opponents saw of him was a streak of yellow. Hence yellow flash, it is not lightning related at all.

Yeah, I would have to say Wind as well since he was such a special ninja and the Wind element is so very rare. But, that sucks though cause Kishi has gave us all so very little info on Minato. He needs to come out with some Minato Chronicles or something.
