It's simple..going by manga knowledge, aka without knowledge of Itachi's abilities... Minato loses,

With knowledge Minato winss...

Without knowing of tsukyomi, and looking at itachi's eyes, Minato will get 1 shotted by it...

Some of you will come with the argument that "Minato won't look at itachi's eyes, he's a genius"

you also fail to realize if he doesn't look at itachi's eyes, he's open to a amaterasu, and he wont be able to dodge what he can't see coming..

With knowledge of both these thigns however, Minato can play his battleplan like kakashi and naruto, Using shadow clones, having 1 look at itachi , shit like that... his chances of winning would have greatly increased

Do you even know what you're saying? Minato was able to figure out Tobi weakness in second's, something itachi couldn't have done. itachi thought Amaterasu could kill him but he failed.​

with a bit perception u can obviously see the way kishi portrays minato that hes a grreater ninja then itachi

I'm afraid to tell you but this isn't Pokemon nor rock-paper-scissors.
Itachi didn't beat anyone of relevance so therefor he didn't proof to be strong enough to take on someone like Minato.
Just because something works against fodder doesn't mean it would work against a top hokage.
I have seen Itachi fail but I have yet to see Minato fail at anything.

I doubt he would "hammer" him. It would be a great battle, no doubt. the determining factors are if Itachi will run out of chakra (Minato has plenty), if Minato can finish quickly with FTG, and what if anything can he do against Itachi's Susanoo and its Legendary weapons, which are described as "boasting absolute perfection in both offense and defense". It would be a bad ass battle, no doubt.

I've no clue who would win.
