Minato is like Naruto in his ideals. remember what he did to pain? he never killed him since killing him would ruin his masters(jiraiya) dreams. Minato will most likely act like Naruto in this case, this is just my opinion.Minato might save him.

I think Minato (In TB mode) did sense Obito's chakra after he did come out from that other dimension. Just like Naruto sensed Sasuke and others
