That would be the worst BS possible outcome...and then what would be the chances of Madara beating the entire universe alone???

It's possible, but I don't think it'll happen until after Madara has become a Jinchuriki.
The hand seal has already been made, so it's probably going to be too late for him to act at this point. We don't even know if he's realized it is Obito yet.

It is better for the manga to kill Obito now (if he is going to die). Saying that, I can't resist the feeling that I want him to be saved. I think Minato will at least try to save him, whether it is too late or not.

I seriously can't wait for the next chapter! Looking forward to Minato's reaction to all of this.
