No it doesn't.
Shadow clones split chakra evenly no matter how much chakra you start with. As long as he's above 0 he's fine.
How long the clones last is based on how much chakra they were alloted:

You forgot to mention that Minatoo also:

- Summoned Gerotora and applied the key to Naruto's seal on the scroll. (That's another 2 techniques)
- You mention the reaper seal but I don't remember you mentioning the two 4 symbol seals (8 trigrams seal) he placed in Naruto.
- He then transferred his remaining chakra into Naruto

As for the Kakashi shadow clone discussion:
- it was the shadow clone jutsu, come on now, it's 2015 and everyone should know this now
- he used the standard shadow clone hand seals to perform the technique.
- the first databook lists both Naruto and Kakashi as multiple/mass shadow clone jutsu users.
- So yes Kakashi performed the multiple shadow clone jutsu.
- however Kakashi was too tired to fight anymore, so his clones would've been destroyed quite easily. That's why he just needed to fool them.

I think you are over-hyping his chakra reserves a bit, putting him up with Nagato, Kisame, etc. But, he does have large reserves no doubt.

And the reason he's telling that to naruto is because unlike what kakashi did. Naruto is actually gonna have the clones do somthing.
