They are clearly aren't equal by any means both has advantages as well as disadvantages over the other and in a one on one battle Minato wins this IMO.

I see it as tobirama being alot more offensive fighter while minato is more defensive. It all comes down to whether tobirama water release or minato rasengan is stronger. IMO tobirama takes it with high diff

your better intelligence and battle tactics are opinionated and not fact. And in a comparison in feats minato wins. In a ftg match minato wins due to him using kunais and tobi not. Edos can be handled with extra clones to close in and break the seal.

Long range jutsus will not work on a ftg user so mot of tobi's water techs go out he window which is why minato gets the edge in CQC with his kunai's and rasengan(especially with sage mode and kyuubi chakra mode). Also he could potientally seal his chakra in CQC

He also has summonings which would even the score if tobi has edos. Also his summonings are perfect to counter tobi's water jutsus.

A kunai can not be completly destroyed by suitan and your forgetting that no matter where it is minato can teleport to it to escape. So even if Tobi moves it its just another spot minato can ftg to making it pointless as he can pick it back up. Also tryin to destroy a kunai would leave him open.

Also i remember orochimaru saying he perfected edo tensei meaning tobi might not have been proficient at it at all.

My take had nothing to do with who has more intelligent. It was an unbiased look at both arsenals and then doing something neither fan bases did in that debate, which was suggest how the differences in one of their arsenals can overtake the other.

Minato canonically can only produce one shadow clone if I recall, which is why I believe he'll be overwhelmed in CQC by FTG marked edo's and clones as Tobirama has been seen to be able to produce more. I was also pointing out that Minato's use of kunia hurts him in this fight as the kunia cannot move themselves, while FTG marked edo's and clones can. And on top of that there is nothing stoping Tobirama from marking his own kunia.

The use of suiton was not to be used as a long range tech to hit Minato but can be used to deflect or displace kunia Minato may throw or place. It can also be used to deal with summons, so saying suiton goes out the window is wrong I'm afraid.

Summonings are also walking targets for explosion tags

Kunia's have already been shown to be breakable through use of chakra based natures and therefore I have no reason to believe suiton techs and explosions can't destroy them. But even if they can't Tobirama's use of explosive tags gives him the opportunity take away Minato's FTG options by placing exploding tags in the vicinity of kunia of Minato's FTG kunia, which allows him to set up on Minato while Minato's arsenal doesn't provide him the same opportunity.

And leave Tobirama open to what ? Minato is a CQC fighter, so if he is not marked what is he in danger of being hit with?
