people said that kakashi&gai were like 14 years old when the kyubi atacked.After i saw the anime they were like 23 years old. However if Minato was alive he would be above Obito. But hes not therefor you really cant compare the two past Minatos sacrifice. So while Minato was alive he won Obito therfore Minato>Obito.

I dont see the point in comparing living with dead.. thats same as comparing Hiruzen and Danzo... Hiruzen>Danzo while both alive..

i accept that obito now is more powerful with a rinnagan and jinjuriki but still Minato (EDIT: if alive upto now) can put a tough fight.... if not out smart obito ...

Minato was fairly efficient in dealing with Tobi and the Kyuubi.
He managed to save his son and wife, protect the village by teleporting Kyuubi's Bijuu Bomb away, cut off Tobi's contract with the Kyuubi, forced Tobi to retreat after besting him in speed and severing his arm, subdued the Kyuubi with Gamabunta, and eventually managed to seal away the Nine-Tails.

He's definitely worthy of the title 'Hokage' to have dealt with the situation so effectively.

That said, I think current Tobi would win against Minato. He's much less overconfident now than he was when facing Minato.

Definitely, it is also relevant to say that Tobi got the surprise factor in his favor. Everyone of that time know the Yellow Flash of Konoha, everyone know his abilities, in the other hand Minato didn't knew a single thing about Tobi: fighting style, jutsus, space-time ninjutsu, etc. He got to figure it out in a short period of time, so I definiely thinkd that Minato won the fight, Tobi just flew away like a coward

Simply put, Tobi withdrawed.
A prolonged fight would probably have resulted in Minato's loss.
Yes, Tobi lost an arm, but we saw how much that did in other fights, clearly it did'nt slow him down, Tobi only withdrawed because he lost control over the kyuubi, but it still managed to kill both Minato and Kushina.
Funny how Naruto became friends with his parents murderer actually.

Tobi only handled Minato with the element of surprise and by holding an infant hostage. The second those things were out of the way, Minato easily avoided all damage and was embarrassing Tobi. He was fine to keep fighting when he went to deal with Kurama, which if you recall was fully twice as strong as Naruto's Kurama is now. Pretty fkng strong. He didnt want a prolonged fight with the 9 tails that may have destroyed the village.
