Remember when this used to last 8 pages?
Lol minato's recent speed feats coupled with the revelation of his use of clones give him the win 10/10 Times.

I use to think Minato takes this, but after going back over itachi's fighting style, I think itachi takes this.

Ever realize why Tobirama and Minato have not been caught in a genjutsu to date? Their speed might actually be too much. Tobirama closed the distance on Madara and was too fast for Madara to use any jutsu, so Madara had to use CQC. But I could be wrong.

Although, Tobirama was canon faster than Madara, by Madara's own words. Minato is faster than Tobirama, by Tobirama's words. Therefore, we can give Minato the feats of Madara [speed wise]. Blind Madara blitz'd SM Naruto, and Minato is faster than Madara. So, I think if the distance is not huge, Itachi gets blitz'd.

Not everyone uses genjutsu often in battle. And not a lot of uchiha use it as their primary fighting style. All uchiha we've seen thus far just use some basic sharingan genjutsu to deceive opponents, etc. But, itachi is an uchiha who actually fights primarily with genjutsu and finds ways, even if it's not sharingan genjutsu, to trap their opponent.
ex. you can look into most uchiha's eyes the entire fight if you want and only get caught in genjutsu once, if even that. If you even glance in itachi's eyes, don't expect to be fighting in the real world anymore.

Ontop of that... Unlike most uchiha, itachi is the only one we've seen thus far to use shadow clones, which is a massive advantage for him over the ordinary uchiha.

Minato wins this low difficult. He's way out of itachi's level.
just like how he defeated obito low-difficult, and how he almost finished A effortlessly.

Madara might've called Tobirama the fastest of his time but wouldn't that be because of FTG? Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Gai stated he developed a fighting style to avoid Kakashi's sharingan genjutsu. Chiyo stated there was a general rule in fighting Uchihas without fearing genjutsu, which is the 2vs1 method helping to get either out of it in case it happens, which means genjutsu was really often used by Uchihas. Hell, Itachi even stated Uchihas used to spam Izanagis at some points. Onoki while facing Madara requested not to look in his eyes and quickly backed-up A when he fell for it. Minato was a Hokage and thus knowing everyone in his village.

He was even so knowledgeable that he thought the only one to his knowledge who could have done what Obito did was Madara, so to his knowledge no Uchihas he knew could have pulled of what Obito did. He even developed a contract seal stopping the sharingan control on the Kyubi and have shown to avoid eye contact with Obito when he entered close range to do so, so saying someone like Minato isn't knowing how to fight Uchihas is only fooling yourself

No. Shunshin and foot speed is what Madara meant. Same thing about Minato.

yes, ordinary uchiha. And did I not just state itachi's not the ordinary uchiha? He mainly uses genjutsu and fights with clones. what other uchiha does that? They all master ninjutsu and taijutsu and go around killing people with their haxed 'powerful chakra' and periodically use genjutsu to get an edge. What, because people develop a method means they all use it 24/7 in fights? Because people like obito, and madara are known to use powerful genjutsu mean they use it 24/7 in fights? No, it means they use it when they need an edge, which can come at any moment and be deadly, therefore looking away is best. Unlike itachi who just always tries to get his opponent in a genjutsu because that's his fighting still.

How many times have people looked directly in obito, madara and sasuke's eyes and been in a genjutsu? very very very frequently. How many times have they looked in itachi's eyes and not been in a genjutsu? about never.

ex.
-sasuke used genjutsu on shishui to paralyze him so he couldn't search for karin.
-ay looked directly in sasuke's eyes and nothing happened
-sasuke used genjutsu on danzo to quickly get in a hit
-sasuke used genjutsu on bee to paralyse him because he was in a bind
-madara used genjutsu on an SA fodder because he was about to get hit
-Madara used genjutsu on ay to stop him
-minato looked directly in obito's eyes several times and nothing happened

in all those cases, genjutsu wasn't used as a primary part of their fighting style, it was just supplementary.

All of this is irrelevant anyway because itachi's the only uchiha we know who doesn't do genjutsu with justhis eyes. He's done genjutsu with his finger and crows. Looking away won't help. Only closing your eyes will. Minato's never shown that fighting with his eyes closed is a strategy of his.

EDIT: Naruto learnt how to fight uchiha on 2 occasions. Didn't stop itachi from easily catching him.

Uchiha and their Genjutsu wouldn't be dangerous if you could just fight while avoiding eye contact. A skilled Uchiha easily forces his opponent to look into his eyes. Kakashi told the team not to look into his eyes, yet Itachi forced him to do so. While it was a clone of Kakashi, it is not expected that the victim will always insist on clones. Shee couldn't believe that he fell for a Genjutsu of the Sharingan since Sasuke used Juugo's actions as a distraction to catch him off guard [ ]. Itachi has possibilities to distract Minato before catching him in Genjutsu as well. Notice how powerful the Genjutsu was Sasuke used with 3T; Shee was completely paralyzed and fell down. That's the dangerous point in Genjutsu, since it only requires some visual contact, which can be made in any moment of the fight, whether intentionally or unintentionally. In Tsukuyomi's case, it's definitely over.

With no intel on both sides, Itachi will be better in analyzing Minato's techniques than vise versa. If he just throws marked Kunai around the field, someone of Itachi's intellectual level immediately uncovers some s/t technique which Minato intends to use. But how will Minato uncover Tsukuyomi before he gets hit by it?

Itachi's capabilities as his techniques are greatly underestimated although demonstrated and even more hyped. One should keep in mind that Itachi never had problems in casting Genjutsu upon his opponents and always fooled them with well placed feints.

Itachi needs only eye or an other visual contact (e.g. his finger) to cast illusions and paralyze the opponent, and he only needs an eye contact to one shot him as well. What does Minato need to beat Itachi? Does teleporting him away count as a win? In the case Itachi was a threat for his beloved village, merely getting rid off of him in that way wouldn't settle it. Especially when his actions are limited to the point he needs to force himself to avoid any eye contact no matter of what Itachi will do to force him to do.

This is a balanced fight.

Claiming that Minato will blitz a wielder of the Sharingan with mere Shunshin is far fetched, since such an argument, which can actually decide the battle, needs an equivalent clear source.

Tobirama admitted that Minato's Shunshin is above his, yet he used Hiraishin to blitz an Izuna who didn't have his Sharingan activated - we don't saw Tobirama's Shunshin in action. Hence this is not an evidence of how successful Minato's Shunshin will be against the Sharingan.

There is another interesting matter. How will Minato avoid Amaterasu, if he constantly avoids eye contact to protect himself from Genjutsu? Unless you are not Juubito, you can't just sense how he is storing up Chakra in the eye and counter attack in that instant.

Nagato felt the preparation of Amaterasu by it's characteristics like air pressure of the heat, not even with Juubito's precision. We learned from the Manga, that at least ordinary sensors can't just track while fighting actively since they need to concentrate on what they are doing. Nagato wasn't fighting actively at that moment but stood next to Itachi. When the preparations were done, Itachi's Amaterasu was used so fast Nagato received it while with a smile on his face, as this technique is used instantly and leaves no room to sense it.

Ay had to use maximum speed and react at Amaterasu via eye contact. And that's the point, since Minato would be restricted if he avoids eye contact to avoid Genjutsu.

So the final question arising would be: How does Minato avoid Genjutsu and Amaterasu at the same time in the long run?

Amatersu is useless even if it hits. This pathetic jutsu has NEVER succeeded. The same with Minato

as you can see, he was directly hit by it, and he teleported himself away.

it should be obvious by now that all 4 Hokages are way stronger than itachi. U_U

With the difference that Minato expected to be hit by this Rasengan and immediately switched places with Juubito before the flame started to burn his body. In this case Minato can't even expect this or react on this while avoiding eye contact. And once the full flame hit him and is attached to his body, he as it seems can't get rid off of the flames.

I don't even know why I argue with your post which I uncovered as a trolling one after the second sentence.

1- Where did it stated that if he expected it, then the FTG will work, but if he did not then FTG won't work? :yeah:
2- the 4 Hokages being stronger than itachi is trolling? Do you read the manga bro? Lol

They hyped to be the strongest. I don't plane to bring their hype and feats to you. You just have to read the manga to know their portrayal. :erm:

Hashi already defeated madara with EMS.
Tobi defeated Izuna with MS.
Minato defeated obito with MS and Senju DNA
Hiruzen is fighting now against the Buddha!

but anyway, never mind. ^-^

Itachi's brains advantage trumps Minato's speed advantage.

Plus Itachi's much more versatile in general.
