I disagree with the first round. Just because Itachi's plan for Sasuke spanned a number of years, does not mean that he can not make quick decisions when under pressure. He is as cool as a clam here:

At the same time, Minato's plan for Naruto also spanned many years. Basically from the night he was born, until he began working with Kurama.

Minato beating Itachi depends on if Itachi uses tsukuyomi right away. I imagine Minato would break out of a regular genjutsu just like Kurenai did, but Tsukuyomi is a different story.

Minato wins, due to being highly inteligent in fast thinking, whereas Itachis plans take action over years and years.
Itachi didn't take years to figure out chibaku tensei's weakness

Round 2: Prep time and intel, 1 v 1

Itachi wins due to knowing where to spot Minato's kunais and activating Sussanoo before Minato can rush him.
Itachi has shown great proficiency with kunai and shuriken, so he can deflect minato's kunai, rendering FTG less usefull, if not useless

Round 3: Reanimated

Minato wins this because his already OP techs are done without exertion. Itachi doesnt gain much on this side.\
I don't see why itachi doesnt gain the same advantages, itachi would also be able to use his OP techs in edo form

Final Round: Any Jutsu and in their prime

Minato wins this one because his stamina can outlast Itachi. The man got stabbed by Kurama's talon and still laughed it off while performing jutsu. Itachi takes one step with Sussanoo and collapses coughing up blood. And what happens when Gamabunta sits ontop on Susaanoo?

You said "in their prime" and last time i checked, his prime wasn't while being almost completely blind.
so itachi can hold susano longer than people give him credit for.
also incomplete susano withstood kirn, I'm sure it can handle gamabunta

I'm not saying one is stronger than the other...but since minato hasn't shown much of his power yet, although he might have something up his sleeves, Itachi has more of a chance of winning atm, IMO.

He was cool about it, because he was immortal at the time. Besides, his plan was just to throw everything they had at it, not a very elaborate plan

IMO, Minato takes it. He has speed and sealing techs which makes the fight with any fast/strong ninja pretty simple and easy.

I love both Minato and Itachi, but Itachi can put you so far in an illusion, even Leonardo DiCaprio wouldn't take part in it.
We have no idea how well Minato can deal with genjutsu, but if Naruto is any sign, it's not well.

I have no clue who would win, nor do I really care, I'm just entertained that you totally disregarded all of Itachi's ability save the Susano'o.

Other than that, If it happens (not along the story line) the battle would be fierce because Minato lived when the Uchihas were still alive. but Minato wins with high difficulty

Itachi is known to put people in a genjutsu before they even realize whats going on.

IE... Orochimaru, Deidara, Naruto, Sasuke, Kurenai

No that was the key to unlocking Izanami for Kabuto. As itachi said in the manga each Inzanami had a trigger for releasing it. Doesn't mean its the same for everyone.
