I am not a mianto fanboy, nor a hater, although his the character a dis-like the most.

But i know when im being to modest.

And shippuuden showed that Gaara's sand easily blocked amatarasu, and all its instant speed. Unless Minato can throw a kunai much faster than amatarasu this will be a very hard fight.

Amaterasu is no where instant. It is labeled "undodgeable" because the flames will hit you if the opponent maintains eyesight on you.

Gaara's sand as shown in the manga, is his mother sensing danger and protecting him, the sand closed in before hand, and blocked amaterasu

Its been stated that Gaara's sand has gotten alot faster and potent as the series goes along. Blocking the Raikages kick was a pretty impressive feat. Though we also saw a limit to that speed as the former Mizukage's jokey boy raped gaara's sand for awhile.
So IMO Minato wins with Mid-Hard difficulty

I'm going with Garra, I dont see anything breaking his defence. ALso if Garra goes air bound and is sheltered using his third eye he'll be at an advantage.

I'm going with minato here(his speed/intelligence), but gaara would put up a great fight.Minato can't fly so he can't teleport into the air,which means that gaara has time to think up great strategies.
