Naruto is like a Play or a drama, only that it's subject to visual grammar as well. There is no third person narration but the dialogues or monologues are ample and are subject to the same rules like any piece of writing is.

The first statement is mental but the second isn't which is creating a simple paradox. Believe whatever you want but you still don't have a clue. Naruto's so-called death statement is not omniscient at this point in time but is a reference to future encounter: "If we fight again...". This alone makes it a statement about a future encounter, not a current state. It's funny how you somehow missed the future tense implication with 'If' and 'fight again'. Hilarious.

Most morons are fully aware of figures of speech tools as well. Too bad you fell several places short of them and that probably doesn't have anything to do with you being a Naruto fan. Alas.

And I don't need lectures from you. In my first statement, I was talking about nothing but power, so why engage in an argument about that? My point was that Naruto and Sasuke are equals in a fight. Now, on to the who's better as a ninja argument. It's debatable that Sasuke's better at being a ninja, but I doubt it. Why? They're both lousy ninjas! Think about it. They rarely use stealth as their primary method, both get into unnecessary conflicts, and the always attack their targets head on. Naruto's like that because he has an explosive personality. Sasuke's like that because he's arrogant and thinks he can handle anything, and he suffers from underestimating his opponents as a result. The 5 kage summit arc was a fine example of this, as he confronted the raikage instead of making flame walls to delay them and attempt to escape after beating Shee.
