minato rasengan vs naruto rasengan

i dont know more about minatos rasengan. but i believe theres a difference between minato and narutos rasengan. why would kishi make naruto still cant perform it in a normal way for 3years his been gone for 3 years for his training and still cant perform it in 1 hand. and i think the greater of the controll of the rotation in a spherical form make it more solid than the less controled form its like comparing a solid rock to a molded soil
