Simply because Minato is the only character in this manga who elaborated a plan that span across decades(more than 16years passed since that moment) and it actually worked
Minato's plan was for Naruto to completely control Kyubi and save the world some day.
- For that he sealed the yang chakra of the Kyubi inside Naruto with the Eight trigram seal. Not only that but he purposely let an opening in the sealing technique that would let some part of Kyubi's chakra to emerge if Naruto ever felt the need. The purpose was also to push Naruto step by step, one day after the other to accustom himself with Kyubi's chakra so that one day he could control it completely.
- And that was only even part of his plan, since he was apparently so much prepared concerning it that he purposely let one part of his chakra inside Naruto so that if Kyubi ever went out of control and reaches 8tails, he would interven and stop him, and reform the seal.
- As if it wasn't enough, he even prepared the key of the Eight trigrams seal so that when Naruto is fully prepared he should start his training to completely subjugate the Kyubi, completly master his chakra. For that to happen, he incorporated the Key in Gerotora and the responsibility to Jiraya who would control if the time finally came and use it.
- Another part of his plan was with Kushina's chakra. He prepared Kushina's chakra by mixing it into the Eight trigram seal he performed so that when the time comes when Naruto needs to control Kyubi totally, she would help him in this task by capturing him with her chakra chains to make it easier
So we can say that all what achieved current Naruto was part of Minato's plan, he saw it coming since the beginning and every steps was well-thought. Keep also in mind that Minato was on the pressure when he created that plan since there was a threat like Tobi who came out of nowhere, and Kyubi destroying the village, but his plan still worked thru years and decades, planing almost everything. We compare sometimes his plan with others like Itachi or Madara, but just take a look. Their plans failed miserably. Itachi failed with his Amaterasu trap to kill Obito, like he failed with Sasuke's reconversion or failed with KA since he never expected it to be used on him. Like Obito said, Itachi accomplished nothing else than the fail part, something he self admitted later against Kabuto
Madara another planer failed since he never expected to be revived by Edo Tensei, and thus stopping his plan in becoming Juubi's Jinchuriki
