Minato is overrated

The Raikage said he was the fastest shinobi in the world, claiming only Minato to be faster. Come to think of it, has he ever even been hit beside the fox sticking it's claw through his torso? Minato is a badass. He's not really overrated because everyone always brags about his speed, not his strength.

Alright while I think most of you guys have valid points but without reading them all theirs something I need to say, this isn't your anime this is kishi's creation and if he says minato was the strongest shin obi ever then I believe it this is a story about naruto, the skills of the 4th hokagehave not been fully revealed and neither has madaras really. You can argue that someone else is faster or stronger but where is your definitive proof if some how your able to know more about characters then Kishi does, then will you please tell me what Kakashi looks like without his mask

I agree with one of the earlier posts. Although both were insanely fast, the battle between Madara and Minato wasn't a battle of speed but of cleverness.

Minato may not be faster than Madara, but he was faster in the moments we saw them battle. Hence why Minato won the match. Everyone respected and feared Minato, he's legendary. That's just how things go when you're legendary, the mention of him back then sent fear down the enemies spine. He could eliminate full squadrons of shinobi all by himself. He's amazing...

I may be a "fan man," but I can readily admit A, Killer Bee, Jiraiya, Itachi, and many other characters were equally as devastating in their own right.

Well he is considered the best in the manga ( although by now at least Madara surpassed him ).
Still...he does'nt seem that impressive to me.
Rasengan is lame.
And its not even superspeed, its basically teleporting.

teleport is superspeed; Shino explained in the manga when trying to get to Sasuke but Madara was in the way

Minato isn't stronger than Hiruzen. It is stated in the beginning of the Naruto series that Sarutobi was the God of Shinobi. It says he was the strongest Hokage ever to have existed. The Fourth could have surpassed him if he wouldn't have died, but he did.
I also believe that people hype Minato up way too much. He is still really strong, and he is definately faster than Madara, but he isn't the best ninja ever. I think Sarutobi in his prime was the best ninja.
He even shares the same nickname as the SO6P, the "God of Shinobi"

Don't bring up that BS, Hiruzen wasn't the best by a longshot. He didn't even have anything he was known for. So he mastered the basic jutsu of his village, so what it's the jutsu he couldn't learn that is the impressive stuff like KGs, rasengan, raikiri, FTG, sage mode, you name it. Hiruzen was a really strong shinobi but best ever? You sir are very mistaken.

teleport is superspeed; Shino explained in the manga when trying to get to Sasuke but Madara was in the way

teleporting isnt superspeed, its instantaneous; meaning there is almost no time which passes between the teleportation

Minato was a master of space time jutsu, he could literally redirect a tailed beast ball straight back at a tailed beast, not to mention he's a master of sealing techniques, just imagine sending a fireball jutsu at someone and having it hit you in the face, and then having your chakra sealed right after, minato was that bad-ass. He just seems weak cuz he's never really been fleshed out in the anime, but you need to read the Manga, he was the 4th for a reason

i think kishi made minato to give naruto a benchmark to surpass or somehing, lol but now narutos going to surpoass the so6p aswell.
his fight vs weakened madara was epic but the rest wa just overpowered.
