Gr8 as usual , still you forgot smth reaally simple mate !! let's just Define the genjutsu : the caster manipulate the victim's chakra ; and makes him have the illusions he wants the victim to see, smell , hear etc .*sigh* i cannot believe im doing this. But i guess it has to be done. U_U
Its fair to say minato fans make up the minority on nb and 98% of their fanbase is made up of intellectual people who can come up with good arguments, whilst the 2% are the less intelligent once (Baka sennin, fourth hoakge of the leaf, Itachi Namikaze)
Anyway im going to explain two things. The first being why minato isnt immune to genjutsu and the second being why tobi didnt/couldn't use genjutsu during their encounter. First of all, the question is who is immune to genjutsu, the answer is no one. We have seen people with doujutsu, high intelligence, kage level, sannins, jinchrucki's genjutsu specialists all get caught in genjutsu, so why is minato any different, i wonder?

The 2nd mizukage, killed muu the 2nd tsuckage, the 2nd miukage is a genjutsu user and i have no doubt in my mind that this helped him defeat muu, both died though;

^^ These people have all been caught in genjutsu. Now i bet you are wondering why i havent listed other noticeable members who have been caught in genjutsu. Well thats for my next point. But to simply stress this issue out, its clearly been stated that only perfect jinchuricki's is 'supposedly' immune to genjutsu;

Is Minato a jinchuricki. Secondly is he a perfect jinchrucki. The link alone should tell you that minato isnt immune to genjutsu. Also talking about perfect jinchurcki's, there is a pattern that has been established by kishi. He states something, then in a few chapters later it contradicts what he said. What i will tell you know if you havent realised about naruto is that there is no such thing as invincible, immune, immortal, invisible and although minato isnt a jinchrucki i want to show you that if genjutsu works on a perfect jinchricki, its working on minato.
The 4th mizukage who was also said to be a perfect jinckrucki was controlled in a genjutsu by tobi;

Now that the issue concerning minato's apparent genjutsu immunity is over. Ill explain the argument why tobi didnt use genjutsu on minato. This is basically the logic minato fans have resorted to, then again whats new U_U. Apparently because tobi didnt use genjutsu on minato, minato is immune?.
First all Tobi might be a genjutsu user but so far he hasnt shown true skill in genjutsu like other noticeable characters in battle to say the least. The only time he used genjutsu in battle was against Konan and this time he was forced to otherwise he wouldve died at the cost of an eye. He Used izanagi which casts genjutsu on the USER. He hasn't used genjutsu on another person in battle the way others have done;

He is good at it to control Yagura and the fox, but he it clearly isnt his fighting style or he isnt skilled at it to use it in actual combat.
To those who say why didnt he use it against minato, therefore minato is immune. Ask yourself this, why did he use this against Fu and Torune, and team kakashi or are all of them immune to genjutsu aswell. Basically saying minato is immune because tobi didnt use it is basically saying team kakashi, fu and torune, bee and gai are also immune, but there is one slight problem.

Basically you are saying, because tobi didnt use genjutsu on minato, fu, torune, kiba, kakashi, sakura, yamato, sai, naruto, bee, gai shino they are all immune?. Come on what retarded logic is this?. Id doesnt even deserve to be labelled logic, its just retarded.
Also you could argue that the control of the 9 tails limited his use with the genjutsu. If you go back to his recent fight's its clear that the control of a tailed beasts requires alot of effort and him casting controlling the 9 tails with genjutsu obviously must have limits him the same way it does here;

Finally every fight has an element of plot no jutsu to it. Tobi couldve killed naruto when he had him in his arms, yet he threw him in the air. If he killed naruto, then there wouldnt be a show. Similarly if he controlled minato instead of the fox, then nobody couldve stopped him. Similarly he couldve easily stalled minato the same way he did to team kakashi and not attack meaning he doesnt need to solidify therefore he stays intangible
by a Childish logic
-Minato has chakra (obviously as it is )
- A genjutsu type shinobi can manipulate the flow of minto's chakra
- thus Minato is in a genjutsu
The fact that minatocan Break the Genjutsu Is smth else ; anyone who knows how to break through Genjutsu can break through it !!!
