Yeh I have no problem with you because it looked like you actually understood what I was saying from the beginning. With the exception of you and Uzumaki16, I was literally repeating the same thing over and over for 15+ pages and they still didn't understand it.
Then Owarij says it in 1 post and suddenly everyone is enlightened. I want to know how he does it lol.
nah minato reflex on raikages v2 punch when it almost hit him. Very close. . So tell me whos faster in term of speed. . V2 raikage strike or amaterasu. Amaterasu will do the same way.. Minato has better reflexes than raikage. Base raikage would be screwed if he face himself at v2 stage.
dont trip, i just like the way owarji expresses his post
i still think minato has the capability/reflexes to dodge amaterasu because to operate and move with an instantaneous technique like ftg your mind has to be equally as fast to move and adjust and maintain your bearing during its use, and assuming he has kunai with seals placed around the battlefeild i believe he can mentally react to amaterasu's heat and teleport before amaterasu can fully manifest on him
edit: im also assuming he knows what amatersu is though as an ms technique
Amaterasu is just black flame and most survive it. Minato was very fast. He couldn't be seen. It was purely stated in kakashi gaiden. Minato was as fast as light. How can something beat light in speed.
i made a thread but ofcourse everybody ignored it -______- (in my sig)
a few things happen before sasuke' amaterasu- his eyes bleed and you can see that his eyes get strained BUT none of these things are what helped raikage as he moved just before the flames got hold of him. It is not like raikage saw the flames coming out of sasuke's sharingan and coming towards him
as zetsu says

the black flames converge exactly on that spot the eye focuses.
heres where my theory comes.
there is a time gap between the appearance of the black flames and their catching hold/sticking to the target.

this time gap is infinitesimally small (meaning very very small) but it still exists.
amaterasu can be avoided as long as you have two abilities-
1. ability to react in a split second
2. ability to move in a split second
The raikage actually felt the heat of the amaterasu flames as they appeared (notice how the flames appear below his head while he stares straight at sasuke),
(though he may not be familiar with amaterasu but he wasn't underestimating a mangekyou sharingan fighter) and hence due to his instantaneous reflexes he moved away

notice how manga states-" synapses fire as fast as a flash of light" meaning the raikage has instantaneous reflexes or ability to react in a split second (not the exact biology but the meaning is same)
why should the manga talk about it and not about his speed or strength unless it is relevant to what is coming immediately after? this right here is the key to amaterasu's weakness
whether it be a fodder ninja or a kage he will feel the heat of the flames as they appear
and now comes the second part. He must exploit the time gap to get away from the focus of the eye to prevent the flames from sticking to him. This cannot be done unless you have the first ability
you must also possess another ability that is the ability to get away in a split second. Raikage used his shunshin no jutsu to get away.

this means that you don't really need to look in the eye to be able to avoid amaterasu. The flames are gonna appear directly on the part of your body the eye focuses, you are gonna feel it and as long as you have both the abilities you will remain unharmed.

To use FTG properly you need very fast reflexes, which Minato has. But not enough to react in time to Amaterasu. V2 Raikage has the fastest reaction time (im not sure about Naruto) which is why he was able to dodge it. His reflexes are inhuman... near enough instant... you cant possibly have reflexes that fast without some type of body enhancement.
Im not saying Minato doesn't have other counters though... people have argued he can teleport without the Amaterasu and stuff. I wont get into that.. but from what we know, logically Minato doesn't fit the full criteria of dodging Amaterasu. Minato might have another counter for it which Kishi has not yet revealed. But we don't know as of now.

you're wrong, Its Obvious @ Itachi vs sasuke fight when Itachi used Amaterasu to hit Sasuke's bat-like wings, to finish off any sign of orochimaru's chakra, the scene carefully shows how amaterasu is operated when it shows itachi moving his eyes to follow exactly sasuke's wings, as u could see the speed sasuke was at, amaterasu was pretty slow and he wasnt teleporting or anything, IF it was aimed at someone with FTG or someone who's just faster, no fukin way it can hit him, unless he's dazzled or caught in a trap first.
