Minato can counter tsukuyomi

Do you guys think this is possible? If Tsukuyomi attacks or traps the target in an illusion which only affects the mental state and not physical, Minato shows that he has a jutsu which can erase his own memory and others which he performed in the 4th shippuden movie. Say he was caught in itachi's Tsukuyomi world, do you think he could just release or perform the seal when he's trapped in itachi's genjutsu which will then erase his memory of him even being in a genjutsu thus unbalancing the effects and breaking the illusion?

Dont think so. Once under genjutsu you have no thinking of your own. Secondly the memory erasing technique was shown in movie and is not in manga anywhere. If it was even there then also getting out of Itachi's Genjutsu is next to impossible.

It does affect the subject physically paralysis drops them leaving them open for attacks & causes fatigue.

No minato can't once caught ur stuck unless some other force helps u (bee with hachibi) or u have great resistants/counter (like sasuke)

I for one thinks that minato has an ability to break genjutsu... Why?? He was an experianced ninja living in the 1st hokage's era and soon become hokage him self, and since he comes close to an opponent it points out that he was good in taijutsu. Also he created the rasangun and the demon seal which tells us he was really good in ninjutsu. Therefore he must have come up with a genjutsu or an ability to break it.

Iam just saying since he was training a uchiha and was born in the era of the 1st, also exeded/increasd in ninjustu and taijutsu i really think for a smart man like him he would have accelerated in genjutsu. This is just a theroy!!!!!

First off Minato is my favorite character.

That being said it depends on which Tsukuyomi you are talking about.

Itachi's? Or Sasuke's?

If you are talking about Itachi's then no.

Even with the use of his non-canon abilities he wouldn't be able to. If I remember correctly he needed to do hand signs to do that.

I explained in my genjutsu thread why people can't just break Itachi's Tsukuyomi.

Itachi's Tsukuyomi happens only in the victim's mind, and it happens instantly in real time.

All of the ways of breaking genjutsu have to be done in real time. Disrupting your chakra, feeling pain that isn't caused by the genjutsu, etc.

Even tailed beasts and Samehada have to disrupt your chakra to break you out of genjutsu. All that happens in real time. Thus it would never be fast enough to break Itachi's genjutsu.

If Itachi chose to not make his Tsukuyomi isntant, then sure it could be broken. However his Tsukuyomi does happen instantly and so the only people way to break out of it is from inside the genjutsu itself, and Itachi said that "only someone with the sharingan and the same blood as me can break my Tsukuyomi"

He said "my Tsukuyomi", not just Tsukuyomi.

So right now only Sasuke or possibly Madara can break Itachi's Tsukuyomi.
