Minato and the Reaper Death Seal

Okay, lately there have been a ton of people talking about how Minato used the reaper death seal to seal the kyuubi. I have two questions.

1. WHERE IN THE MANGA DOES IT SAY HE USED THE REAPER DEATH SEAL?

2. How does it make any sense that Kushina and Minato were sealed into the demon god, and yet their souls can still talk to Naruto? And the 3rd said he was the only one who could use it (his unique jutsu). It doesn't make any sense. So someone please give me a link to where it says that Minato used the reaper death seal on the kyuubi.

I vaguely remember Hiruzen stating "this is what the fourth meant" referring to how only the one who summons the death god can see it's true form. It can be deduced that the 3rd likely learned the technique from the 4th. Though don't quote me on that part.

Your right the 3rd Hokage learn it from Minato and Part of Minato,Kushina and the Fox were sealed in Naruto and the rest the dead god got that as His payment for His services.

wow, awesome! Thanks for that! So then, are there any theories as to why part of Minato and Kushina survived? Did Minato master the jutsu to another extent? Or was it something else that stopped the death god?

well its a matter of self and chackra control just like minato devided the fox's chackra into 2 halfs (one sealed into his own body and one into naruto's body), so he only seperated a small part of his counchesness and kushina's counchesness and then sealed it into naruto along with the fox chackra..

Also, chapter 370, page 12, proves that Minato did indeed use the Shiki Fuujin to seal the Nine-Tailed Fox into Naruto. Jiraiya: "Minato only sealed the Nine-Tails' yin chakra using the Shiki Fuujin." Like Kakashi said, "[Minato] must have put some of his [and Kushina's] energy inside Naruto in the end," so that was how Naruto's parents appeared in chapters 439 and 497.

thnx. I only started reading the manga during the Sasuke/Itachi fight, so I missed some of the former details. i always watch the anime, but sometimes they leave out some important lines, or they aren't translated correctly. so thnx for the help!

Minato did not create the Shiki Fuujin, he is the first one in the series to have used the technique. It's difficult for me to see someone "creating" something such as the Shiki Fuujin; it was just a technique that Minato knew along with Sarutobi, not one that either individual created.

The Dead god seal is classified as a forbidden jutsu because the user will always die. It's one of those jutsus that is used as a last resort in a life and death situation to save someone at user expense. Its equivalent to teaching you how to commit suicide.

lol, yeah. It is kinda a step up from Izanagi. Both sacrifices, but one is much greater.

maybe he discovered it on one of his journeys or something.. maybe there is also like a scroll you'd have to sign.. kinda like a summoning.. who knows.. i'm just making all this up..
