er if he was 4 when he witnessed the war and 5 when the fox attacked, that would make it one year wouldn't it? :S

naruto wiki says he graduated from the academy at age 7 and mastered his sharingan by age 8. Im assuming that means he awakened his sharingan before he was 8. He became an ANBU captain at 13, so he must have been ANBU before that, unless he joined as a captain.

It also says that at age 4 he witnessed the 4th ninja war, so does anyone know how long after the 4th ninja war it was until madara sent the kyuubi to attack the villiage?

You can't join an organization and instantly be a captain, itachi had to be with ANBU for a while before he gets promoted.

Narutowiki states that Itachi was 21 when he died. He tells Sasuke that 16 years ago, Madara used the Fox to attack the village. so that would put him at the Age of 5 when it happened. Which would make sense since he is 5-6 years older than Sasuke. but Not sure if the 4th Ninja World War occurred just 1 year before the Foxes attack. but from the age difference, I would assume that Itachi was 5-7 years old when he witnessed the attack.

and to the posts about itachi he was most likely five.sasuke is sixteen and itachi died at 21 simple math would prove him to be five.being itachi I can assure you he had his first tomoe tho.this is itachi we are talking about who had mastered MS by the time of the massacre.so my assumption is he watched the fight through newborn sharingan eyes
