Sai: because of two things.
first is reunification. kayame has refused to see my father in her court. and soon she may pay for see as to what your putting in motion. when aid is turned away you give it to someone who will use it.
second is restoration. im her accent to the throne my father fell from his. our name is only known in little quantity. now i do not fight for what is suppose to be mine. but if returned i will take it. but our clan only looks to restore its name. maybe not through the throne but through diplomatic resources.
if helping you is staying out of the matter and watching the palace be usurped then so be it. the Minamoto's are a neutral party now. we fight for no one but our people. if they request it. in a way we are like the Nords. 'you can't force a nord help he does not want.' if she wants help then she may receive it. but at the moment. no, it will not be given.

Sai: now you are the friend and she he enemy. and although the phrase is 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend', there is no guarantee that our paths will not cross and result in war. it is not my battle and i have no intention of interfearing, as long as it stay off my lands. this is way i must stay out. not for the fear of war, for the Minamoto have never meet a problem they could not solve with war. and i do not fear death. you can't kill something that was born undead and in a sense immortal. so carry on my friend. let me know how it works out. but do stay of the Minamoto lands. or you'll become the enemy and she the friend.
