I'm sure Gaara's improved since he was a genin, but I think people are forgetting that when Gaara went in for the kill against Lee, Guy dismissed the sand with one wave of his hand, without any chakra. I never knew how he did that, but given Gaara's bloodlust at the time, I'm not likely to believe he pulled back intentionally.

Yeah, and he didn't seem to put much effort into his wave.

This guy has insane physical power so it's not surprising.

I want to see proof that Gaaras sand is faster than before.

well,in the CE arc,it couldnt keep up with weightless lee,by the SrA arc which was in naruto time some months later IIRC or maybe a year,it kept up with kimimaro who was able to catch gated lee,even when kimi went cursed seal he couldnt get close with speed alone.

In the CE arc again 2T sasuke managed to outspeed it,when he met the sound 4 he was beaten by sakon,who,along with the others were all blitzed by kimi,and also kno naruto was blitzing him,wheras kimi thrashed kno naruto and his clone army without getting a scratch.

All this happened from the CE to the SRA arc,now from the SRA arc to the beggining of shippuden,gaara put up a shield big enough to save a village at tje split second a bomb exploded,and that was normal sand,not even gourd sand. Proof enough?

gaara was 12 yrs old,about mid-high chunin level at that time. Gai at that time was already among the strongest jonins of konoha,how is it surprising he did that?.
A susanoo sword nor Ay's v2 and sasuke's enton spike combo nor c3 nor joki boy's explosion could even budge it at his current level
