Basic Information
Name:Mifune
Nickname:Blond Samurai, Yojimbo, Sword Saint, Kenshin
Gender:Male
Age:37
Clan: -

Looks:Mifune has blond hair and light blue eyes. He has a very lean, but muscular build and is approximately six feet (180 cm) tall. He weighs about 130 pounds (roughly 59 kg). He is often seen in either dark dress pants and a light colored dress shirt, or blue jeans and a white sweatshirt with OSAMURAI emblazoned on it. He almost always keeps a reed in his mouth.

Personality: Mifune is a strong, stoic type of person, who does not speak much to most people. He dislikes senseless fighting, and the archaic ways of the world - he sees himself as a protector of the weak, especially children, reflected by the fact that he cannot bring himself to harm a child save for dire instances. He is not above killing at all, but would rather not, as shown by the fact that in several of his previous encounters he gives the opponent the chance to admit defeat and flee, often with the promise that they will never bother his ward again. He believes that there are two paths – the “Path of the Warrior” and the “Path of the Demon” and that all warriors are destined to walk one of the two paths.

Land of Iron Standing: Field Marshal (Second in Command)
Specialty:
Kenjutsu Mastery: As a Samurai, Mifune is well adapt in the ways of the blade. He, like other Samurai, is proficient in the art of Iaidō, though he has a nearly unmatched mastery of an Iadidō derivative called Battōjutsu – like Iadiō, it deals with a lightning fast draw cut, but, Battōjutsu deals with multiple lightning fast cuts following the draw, using the speed to the Iaidō draw to augment the speed of the following cuts, instead of instantly re-sheathing the sword.

Mifune is also well adept in Kendo, being proficient with all stances (Chudan, Jodan, Hasso, Gedan, and Wakigamae).

Furthermore, Mifune has an unmatched mastery over the Infinite-One Sword style, his personal style. He has demonstrated the ability to throw the swords with incredible precision, able to throw three swords between individual links of a chain, as well.

Taijutsu Expertise: Mifune has had a hard life and has constantly trained to better himself in battle. Because of this, Mifune wears weights on both his arms and legs, as well as having at once partaken in a type of training that gave Mifune incredible reaction time with slightly heightened senses. He’s strong enough, even with his weights on, that he’s shown no sign of fatigue or even decreased speed while carrying two cases of his Infinite-One Sword Style katana. Mifune is also ambidextrous, and has an extremely high pain tolerance, having once taken a knife blade straight through his forearm, be thrown by a log trap, and having still continued to fight.

ZX Buster Mastery: Mifune has trained extensively in the ZX Buster style created by Keotsu to the point that he has mastered it; he has even adjusted his trademark flip-flops to have chakra metal implants to facilitate the style's use.

Background Info.
History:
All things must have a beginning
Mifune was born far off the Eastern Coast of the main continent, on a small and unnamed Island that went largely unnoticed for most of history.

A site of war for many centuries, the island was divided into two distinct factions for most of its history: the ferocious Samurai that inhabited the Western shores, and the rouge-like Shinobi that lived on the Eastern Shore. Due to this island’s separation from the mainland for so long, it was never introduced to chakra, and this vastly affect both factions style of warfare.

Shinobi made use of ancient shadow arts: training their bodies to move silently, and quickly in the shadows, and to strike quickly and ferociously.

Samurai made use of powerful stances and well made armor that helped attacks roll off their bodies.

The island sat upon a rich deposit of precious and important metals, both sides fought for ownership to the island. Constant fighting over the rights to these metals is what lead to the split into the Shinobi and the Samurai, and is also what sustained the segregation for hundreds of years.

Life on the island went on, and warfare took a back seat – as people became educated and moved away from barbaric ways, the islanders learned to make treaties, have peace, and share the island; warring was not uncommon, though, as hate for rival fractions still survived, keeping two almost rival civilizations on the East and West.

However, near perfect peace and prosperity was brought to this island due to the strife of warring nations on the main continent: during the Third Shinobi World War, the Five Great Nations were strapped for much need metals, and turned to this small island with its rich veins for supplies. The influx of money created a larger and more stable economy on the island, and the two civilizations merged into one.

Mifune’s parent’s union came about because of the mixing of these civilizations: Mifune’s mother was a Samurai, and his father was a Shinobi.

Mifune would spend fifteen years of his life here. As the military was still a big part of the Island’s history, Mifune’s father relentlessly trained his son in the shadow arts, giving him agility, incredible reflexes, and stealthfulness that was lost to current Shinobi as they came to rely on chakra to make them unseen, unheard. His mother also trained alongside her son, helping him develop powerful muscles and incredible stamina; Mifune’s parents combined the best of the Ancient Shinobi and Samurai into their son, creating an incredible warrior.

Shortly after completing his training with his parents was Mifune’s sixteenth birthday, after which he left to see the world. Unfortunately, it was a falling out with his father that also spurred Mifune to leave.

Within the Shadows, Doubt
For the next seven years, Mifune would come to learn that it was money that made the world go round, and without it, it was hard to stay alive. Having only his skills to rely on, he sold himself out as a sword-for-hire, simply to have food.

Quickly making a name for himself due to his incredible skill, Mifune was repeatedly hired by unsavory types in general, and because of such, built up a small fortune.

However, as he traveled amongst those that dealt in the Black Market, he repeatedly came across Shinobi from a group called the Star Clan – vicious, Mifune could only describe them as Demon-like; they were pricy and incredibly efficient – but Mifune was better, and repeatedly came across these Clan members as they targeted the one’s he was hired to protect, only to be swiftly destroyed by the Samurai.

Quickly making rivals with this clan, Mifune paid close attention to any news he heard about them – at one point, he heard rumors of how they were warring amongst themselves, wiping each other out. In the destruction of this clan, Mifune’s hand would be nearly equivalent to Death himself.

At the age of twenty three, the Star Clan was all but nonexistent, with only a few surviving members left; Mifune was becoming cash-strapped as well: as the clan became more and more vicious, praying even on civilians, he made it his solemn duty to hunt down these demons and kill them, so they could hurt no other.

Weeks followed and rumors began to surface that only one member of the Star Clan was left. Mifune used a map to mark the areas he struck – they formed a giant star, and only one point had yet to be struck; Mifune would investigate, and end it all.

He found the man he was looking for, “White Star”, outside a house filled with the demon’s most recent slaughter.

“Have you forsaken the Path of the Warrior for that of the Path of the Demon?”

The man only laughed, claiming that there were no Paths, only the strong, and the dead. Mifune tried to reason with the man, pull him back from his Demonic urges, compelling him to open his eyes to his wickedness as they fought; the man retaliated with a comment of how Mifune was no better, hunting down every living member of a clan and slaughtering them.

Mifune slayed the man, his blow throwing the man over the edge of a waterfall into the rapids and jagged rocks below. But the Demon’s words cut straight to Mifune’s soul.

Broken, exhausted, and without money, Mifune fell into a stupor.

He had become a slaughterer.

Had he, too, fallen from the Path of the Warrior?

Was he a Demon?
Ascension
The only good that had come out of that seven year stent that Mifune would come to refer to as “then” was that through various letters written home, he had manage to repair his relationship with his father.

Homeless and broken, all he had to his name was the sword on his hip and the shirt on his back.

During one particularity bleak night when a heavy storm ravaged the town he happened to be staying in at that time, a warlord of an underground organization recognized Mifune and offered to employ him for his skills. So, for the next four years, Mifune worked as the organization's personal bodyguard and assassin.

The payment for his job was substantial indeed and it quickly pulled him out of poverty - so much so that he started sending a few thousand ryo back to his parents. Not being a lavish man, he didn't spend much of his money on pleasantries, but on basic provisions for living, as well as materials to maintain his various katana, many of which he procured from the corpses of his targets, rather than leaving the blades to rust.

His time as a body guard for this overlord was when Mifune became renowned for his skills. Throughout the years, it was not uncommon for some hotshot shinobi or swordsman to track him down and challenge him, though they almost always ended in Mifune's victory. One strange thing, though, was that a man sought out Mifune, not to fight, but to teach him. He had heard the stories, and found great promise in Mifune. The man taught Mifune to utilize his body to the limit, training him with weights and a type of sensory deprivation where he would make Mifune go long periods of time with all but one of senses cut off, so that they would be heightened. By doing this to all of his senses, he raised their base level, making him more aware to things.

Following this, Mifune decided it was time to create his own Sword-Style. He knew that while there were weapons of legendary power, regardless of how masterfully crafted a weapon was, it meant nothing if an unskilled warrior possessed it. He decided to make use of regular katana – no legendary weapons, but weapons worthy of respect and their worth – to prove his own strength, as well to better it; and thus came to birth the Infinite One-Sword Style, Mugen Ittōryū.

During his time, though, there would be long periods during which Mifune was free to do as he pleased. A challenger had approached Mifune and – in a rare bout – defeated him. She did so soundly, as well; Mifune was astonished at how easily he had been dispatched.

She spared his life, and Mifune spent a few weeks with the woman, trying to gain some understanding of how she treated the sword, and what it was that allowed her to beat him.

Akiza, the woman, revealed herself to be an associate of the man who had been responsible for Mifune’s earlier training, and had honestly come to, once again, better himself. So with the Black Rose, Mifune travled for a short time, learning to increase his agility to utterly phenomenal levels, as well as helping him break his rather stiff and formal fighting style, and experiment with looser and more flowing stances, an invaluable asset in battle.

After teaching Mifune, she left him, full of feelings of gratitude and respect. It was small expeditions from his dark employment that showed what kind of man Mifune was; times that showed, despite his dark situation, his remarkably pure soul.

One assassination mission, though, would forever change Mifune’s life. A noble family had paid a rival organization to take out the gang that Mifune worked for. Mifune had strict orders to infiltrate the families premise, kill anyone he came across, and then finally assassinate the heiress of the family, to not only destroy the family but to cut off a portion of the rival gang's funding through this family.

After a quiet slaughter of the guards, Mifune made his way into the heiress's room, where he was shocked.

Coming into the room of the heiress, Mifune discovered her fast asleep - a small child, not a young woman like he had expected. Mifune had never once raised his blade against a child, and he could not bring himself to do so now. He knew that if he refused to kill her that the gang would simply try to kill Mifune himself, and then come and take care of the young heiress. Mifune chose to take the young child to protect her.

Mifune’s mind was still haunted by White Star’s words. He had killed many, but he was a bodyguard. He could be protector, and not a judge. Quietly, Mifune hoped that by saving this child that some of his sins would be forgiven, and that some day, when the child realized why Mifune was protecting her, she too would forgive him for his crimes, that he was responsible for her not growing up with her family. He had never touched anyone other than the guards…but the gang would see to it that they were all killed.

Or would they? Taking a torch, Mifune lit the building on fire, yelling “Fire!” as he ran – now they could escape. The fire was too big to extinguish, but spreading slowly. They would survive, but they would have to scatter. He would have to send some message to them to flee, before they could be killed.

The heiress was quiet in his arms.

Mifune prayed quietly. Let him be forgiven.

Tempering a Steel Soul

As he expected, the organization was not pleased with the bodyguard's betrayal, and so they sent a massive force to exterminate the samurai. Three-hundred shinobi came to dispose of the renegade and the heiress.

Mifune fought his hardest over the course of four grueling weeks, defeating all whom where sent to take him down.

When blood and rain finally ran together, the battle won, Mifune collapsed from exhaustion, body batter and mind shattered.

He awoke later, in the dimly lit den of some stranger's house. Angela - the heiress - was asleep on a couch nearby. As he sat up, Mifune felt the tight pull of bandages across his skin. Someone had taken him in.

Shortly after waking, a man came in and saw Mifune in his conscious state. He explained how the man was traveling back home after some diplomatic business and found the young girl crying over Mifune's unmoving body in a ring of bloodied corpses - he assumed the worst, until he felt a pulse in Mifune's neck.

They talked through the night, getting to know one another. The man commended Mifune on his actions concerning the heiress and suggested that he come back to his home country where they could find some solace, even if only temporarily.

Mifune agreed, and once he was well enough to be about, traveled with the man to the Land of Iron.

Having formed a friendship with the man, and as a way of repaying his hospitality and kindness, Mifune took up arms and volunteered to help the Land of Iron in any way he could - the like-named General of the Land of Iron often visited Mifune to converse and to entertain the small heiress. Mifune trained with the like-named General after a sort amount of time, the General feeling that he could trust Mifune to not betray their secrets. So, alongside the General, Mifune trained amongst the Samurai, increasing his prowess with a blade and heightening his senses as well.

During his time here, Mifune became quite at home amongst the Samurai, and quickly rose through the ranks – before long, he moved from a volunteer to an actual member of the Land of Iron’s Military force, and fought along a group of other powerful soldiers like a man named Hattori Hanzo, a man known simply as “The Wanderer”, and he also met the Land of Iron’s powerful Shogun, Zenryoku. It is alongside these powerful warriors that Mifune became enlightened to Chakra, and soon learned techniques like the Samurai Sabre Skill, increasing his lethality alongside his already dangerous Infinite One-Sword Style.

Angela refused to stay behind in the Land of Iron, insisting on coming with her "Mifune-kun". After much arguing, Angela finally won and convinced Mifune to let her come with her. Deciding that he was long overdue for a personal visit to his parents, Mifune began his journey outside the Land of Iron.

From the sea came a breeze, and it was laden with Hope

As he traveled towards the ocean, Mifune came across a young man by the name of Keotsu. The boys clothes where stained with blood, and he held a troubled look in his eyes.

Keotsu lifted his gleaming sword - though his eyes and clothes suggested otherwise, his posture and the way he held his blade betrayed no signs of fatigue.

Instructing Angela to hid, Mifune launched his case of katana into the air, having hundreds of blades come raining down upon the field. This odd move caught Keotsu off guard, but he never took his eyes off of Mifune.

Mifune had yet to raise his blade against a child again since those fateful battles years ago - this boy looked confused, but dangerous - the way his movements where place, the looseness in his muscles that seemed like they could harden like that of a tigers...he was no novice in battle.

They clashed - and, as expected, the boy was a talented swordsman. Mifune questioned him as to why he was fighting him, but the boy only replied with short sentences about looking for something; his body and all it's skill was present, but something was clouding his mind.

The intense clash lasted from noon of their encounter till noon of the following day - both men finally collapsed from exhaustion.

Laying in the sodden earth, as the rain fell above, the boy spoke, not in the hazy voice he had been speaking in, but the clear tone that Mifune could tell truly belonged to the boy - he apologized for his actions, claiming that he had not quite been himself lately.

Mifune silently acknowledged the boys troubles; he complemented him on his blade work - the boy responded in kind, claiming that he had full memory of their battle, and that his Infinite-One style was truly amazing.

Angela - frightened and with the fear that she had been abandoned - burst into tears when her protector returned to her, apologizing for leaving her for such a long time. Keotsu seemed to be quite good with children - and feeling guilty for the trouble he had inadvertently caused - as he played with Angela and quickly had the child to her normal bubbly self.

Mifune offered one of his trademark seaweed candies to Keotsu - a simple gesture that broke the ice. The two swordsman conversed as they waited for the storm outside to pass. In the end, Mifune and Keotsu decided to pair up and travel together.

Weeks passed and Keotsu informed Mifune that he would need to separate from him, but would love to rendezvous in three weeks time in the Land of Iron. Mifune agreed - they were quite close to the ocean, and that would give him time to spend a few weeks at his parent's house. Mifune's visit would surely be welcomed - especially as they had aged since he had last seen the physically more than thirteen years ago.

As Mifune purchased tickets for a ferry to his home island (having still retained an incredibly large amount of funds from his time as a bodyguard, followed by pay from his occasional hiring), he was approached by a man with green hair and three swords.

Mifune sensed a level of skill that far surpassed his own. The man simply asked if he was "Mifune the Bodyguard". Confirming that he was indeed, the man told Mifune of how he was once again in possession of one of his most powerful creations, it's owner having disappeared mysteriously. He was looking for a new owner for the blade, and thought that Mifune would be a suitable wielder - he produced a scimitar. It was a blade Mifune has heard of - the fabled ‡Shine-Tsu-Hiko - God of Wind‡.

After explaining the dangers that owning the blade would bring to him, Mifune agreed to take the blade - though it would bring him trouble, he would be able to face it alone and without endangering Angela - and the blade would be a trusty tool if ever came a time when a little help was needed.

Then, without another word, the Sword Master was on his way.

Following his excursion to his home - in which he found his parents in good health, having started a small farm- Mifune began his way back to the Land of Iron, where he regrouped with Keotsu. The boy seem changed in some way, as if he had faced some great trial in the three weeks they had been gone - a necklace he wore was some kind of treasure, and was linked to the events that had transpired; when Mifune questioned him, Keotsu simply asked that Mifune leave it be, and that he would tell him in due time. Mifune agreed, as Keotsu too had made a covenant with him not to question him about the dark event in Mifune's past, and that he too, would tell him in due time.

The Green-Haired man had proven himself to be right, and Mifune fought many powerful foes after the legendary weapon. He managed to defeat many of them, but he was originally bested by a man calling himself the King of Darkness. Taking the blade, he left Mifune.

King of Darkness or no, Mifune wondered if he had actually just had a curse lifted from his shoulders.

Deep down, are you just one who lives in Darkness? Can you see the light?
Though little else is known about Mifune's past, what is known is that a boy who wielded a Kusarigama and black Katana searched for Mifune - Mifune was responsible for the extermination of his clan, the "Star" clan.

He harbored no ill will towards Mifune about his clan's extermination, having only been a child at the time and claiming that "they paid for their sins." However, he also said that he would "surpass God," and by killing Mifune he would start on that road.

Their first encounter resulted in Mifune's defeat, the boy's weapon created a clone when he had not been expecting it, and the boy landed a surprise blow. The boy - sparred him as Angela appeared, begging the boy not to harm Mifune further. He could not bring himself to take the life of another in front of a child's eyes.

The second time they encountered their fight was short - the boy was cocky, and Mifune made quick work of him, claiming that his arrogance was his down fall, while the boy spouted words of how Mifune was the one acting arrogant, talking down to a "God" as such.

Their third and final encounter, however, was the most interesting. The boy had walked down the same Path of the Demon as his clan had, and he once again crossed paths with Mifune. He tried to convince the boy to leave the path, and return to the Path of the Warrior, but he would hear no such thing. A bloody battle ensued - Mifune was fatally stricken, haven chosen to strike the boy in his right arm rather than decapitating the child - as Mifune lay dying on the ground, he thanked the Samurai. He was free of the path of the Demon, but he would not walk the path of the Warrior - he would walk his own path, and become a "Warrior God."

It was by the grace of the gods that Mifune survived. A young girl appeared, who revealed herself to be a traveling companion of the boy whom had just fought Mifune. She was a skilled Medical Ninja, and repaired his wounds to the best of her abilities before transporting Mifune to a hospital.

While recovering, Mifune realized that he had taken up arms against a child, and that in their third encounter he was fully prepared to kill him, if he stayed on the path of the Demon. He was glad he had stayed his blade, and it was one fight with a child that he was glad had occurred.

Mifune still travels with Keotsu, but the two have made the Land of Iron their home - Mifune's journey for his unknown destination was not quite finished, but he would continue to protect and watch over the Heiress Angela until he could no longer.

Until his sins where forgiven, until his penance had been made, he still had a road to walk on before he could chase his other dream.

In recent years, Mifune has largely retired to focus on raising his adoptive daughter Angela, who attends a prestigious school in the Land of Iron. He acts as a confidant and advisor for the Land of Iron and holds the honorary rank of "Field Marshal", though he sees no active combat; he does however help train the elite troops and is noted as being a responsible figure for the increase in capability of the Land of Iron's military strength. He occasionally travels with Keotsu to the Faraway Lands, and plans to relocate there permanently once Angela has finished her schooling, or decides that she is ready to make the trip herself.

Other
Weaponry

Masamune:Tender Hands: A blade crafted by the master swordsmith Masamune, this blade was crafted after a competition was issued to see who’s blade was better: Masamune or Muramasa’s. Oddly, the blade crafted for that competition – this blade – is often regarded as the Master’s best work. A katana of average length, and made of the purest chakra steel, the metal itself is tinged white, with the cutting edge of the blade holding a mirror finish that reflects peace and hope into the eyes of all whom gaze upon it, according to legend. The blade’s hilt is also made of a rare, snow white wood, wrapped in a pure cloth – simplicity in design that brings a peace of mind. The tsuba is hexagonal, with the design of rising wave enclosed, and is bronze in color. A tassel with a bell on the end is attached to the sword’s pommel. This one-of-a-kind masterpiece is currently in Mifune’s possession, though he rarely carries it – in those rare occasions he’s not carrying a case of Infinite-One Sword Style katana. This blade is blessed by Keotsu's "Ani" ritual, something that bears no small significance between the two swordsman, and shows the familial aspect of their bond. With this change, Mifune now carries the sword more commonly.

Muramasa: 10,000 Cold Nights: A blade crafted by the renowned swordsmith Muramasa, a blade forged for a competition between Muramasa himself and the master swordsmith Masamune to see who could produce the better blade. Muramasa’s blade are shrouded within a dark legacy, some saying that his blades brought out the murderous intent within a person, and other legends claiming that the rage was inside the blades themselves. This blade was Muramasa’s finest work. A katana of average length, the blade is an inky black, and the hilt is made of ebony wood, wrapped in a midnight colored cloth – a red tassel adorns the pommel. The tsuba is bronze in color, circular in shape, and depicts a raging fire. The legend goes that the competition of this blade and Masamune’s Tender Hands involved the plunging of both blades into a river – 10,000 Cold Nights cut everything that crossed it’s path, it’s bloodlust indiscriminate to what crossed it’s blade; yet, it’s said that Masamune’s holy blade cut nothing that hit the blade, not cutting that innocence which deserved no wrath.

Unnamed chakra-steel knife: A gift from Angela to Mifune for the Samurai’s 31st birthday, the knife is a simple piece: a solid chara-steel blade within a mahogany stained hilt. The blade’s scabbard is made of the same wood. The knife is incredibly sharp, and Mifune keeps it concealed on his person at all times, in a place where he can easily access it. This knife has more meaning to Mifune than any other blade, and the fact that the chakra metal allows the use of the Samurai Sabre skill with it, means Mifune is never without a way to protect himself, or Angela. This blade is blessed by Keotsu's "Ani" ritual, something that bears no small significance between the two swordsman, and shows the familial aspect of their bond. With this change, Mifune now carries the knife more commonly. Gifted to him by Angela and blessed by Keotsu, this sword is Mifune's single most important possession.

Armory
Though he rarely wears it, Mifune’s Samurai armor is quite different than most: rather than a single, solid piece of plate mail, Mifune’s armor is made of several smaller pieces of plate, tied together with a special white cord that was spun with chakra, meaning it is not easily cut; it is as strong as spider’s silk, yet is a thick cord. A brilliant ivory in color, the armor sports a shining trim. Being a high ranking Samurai, his helmet has horns on it, only they come straight back and form a halo-like ring at a slight angle.

Misc:

Infinite One-Sword Style:Unless stated otherwise, Mifune always carries with him a regular case of Infinite-One Sword Style katana strapped horizontally on the back of his waist. It’s not uncommon for him to carry a Vector-able case across his back at an angle, either.

Ritual of Brotherhood:Mifune's blades "Tender Hands" and "10000 Cold Nights", as well as the knife gifted to him by Angela are blessed by Keotsu's Ani-ritual, granting them the powers of his legendary blade Mythos.
(Ani) Brother
Type: Supplementary
Rank: N/A
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Keotsu's legendary blade Mythos has been with him through trials and tribulations of all sorts; and in turn, Keotsu has used his strength to help his friends through their own challenges. The strength Keotsu could offer was always limited, though, as so many of his teachings were made with his own blade in mind. This technique allows others to use Mythos, when they normally could not. Because Mythos is tied to Keotsu's soul, he will perform a small ritual with one that Keotsu is incredibly close to: Keotsu will place Mythos in its entirety atop one of his brothers-in-arms' weapons, and coat it in an incredibly thin layer of the Mythril that Mythos is made of. In this action, Keotsu accepts this person into his soul, marking them as someone of great importance to him. This imparts the weapon with all the abilities of Mythos, except for the ability to change shape, the original ability that Mythos possessed in its form of "Mikomi", long, long ago.
*Note: Cannot be used in battle. The purpose of this technique is to allow others to be able to use Mythos.
*Note: True to the blade, if a piece of Mythos is ever used against Keotsu, this technique will "deactivate", and that person will be as if they could not have used Mythos in the first place.
*Note: Those who Keotsu teaches "Brother" will be able to use (Ten'notsurugi: Mythos, Jinsei no Sāberu) Astrum Sword: Mythos, Vita Saber with all of its abilities, except the ability to change shape.

(Ten'notsurugi: Mythos, Jinsei no Sāberu) Astrum Sword: Mythos, Vita Saber
Rank: N/A
Type: Weapon
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: +20 to Kenjutsu and Command Arts
Description: "The Blade of Heaven...Mythos the Life Sabre. One of the Ten Shinning Weapons." When Keotsu returned to the known continent from his journey to regions unknown, he returned with his blade Mythos in a new form; some secret event took place which reconfigured the blade and created a powerful connection between Keotsu and the sword. The Mythril blade retained its ability to change it's shape, but not it's mass when subjected to Keotsu's chakras, as did the scabbard of the weapon, though the two were no longer explicitly linked. A few improvements were noted by Keotsu, though: the blade seemed to resonate better than before, boosting his powers in battle: offensive Kenjutsu techniques and Command Arts have their power increased by +20, and defensive and supplementary Kenjutsu and Command Arts are increased in their effectiveness by +20 (that is, a defensive technique that is A-rank (60 damage) would be capable of now defending from an S-rank (80 damage) ; second, the blade came to reject energies that were foreign to Keotsu - that's to say, for example, if an enemy tried to use Nagashi after grabbing the blade, the energy would stop completely due to the nature of the blade's composition. This particular power comes about from the blade's new found synergy with Keotsu, in an effort to prevent it from being used against him. Retaining all the properties of the metal it was forged from, Mythos is indestructible and will never dull, in any of its forms.
*The user can manipulate the blade’s form during battle at any time, but it costs 35 chakra to do so, and also counts towards one of that turn’s three allotted moves.
*Can only be wielded by Keotsu. When someone else tries to hold the blade, it will reject their chakra and increase its density exponentially, making it to heavy to be lifted. However, it reverts to its original density when Keotsu is holding it.
*While the sword can transform into different types of weapons, like a katana or spear, it is bound by its mass, meaning that the form it takes on has to be within the realms of creating from the same amount of matter.
*While Mythos is in hand, Keotsu is unable to cast Genjutsu at all.

Projectiles and Explosives: Having fought enough Shinobi, Mifune knows the value of ranged weapons. Because of this, he took a pouch from a Shinobi, and carries a few specially made knives for throwing, along with a few explosive tags. He has sense updated to the Heavy Artillery Exploding Tags created by Keotsu due to their effectiveness.
(Jūhō Kibaku Fuda) Heavy Artillery Exploding Tag
Rank: N/A
Type: Offensive
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: +20 to Explosive Tags
Description: A heavy-duty version of the standard issue paper bomb, this exploding tag has substantially more power than a regular exploding tag, and is generally used in heavy demolition. Other than being .5 inches longer than a regular exploding tag and with the kanji for “erupt” instead of “explode” in the middle, they cannot be discerned from their weaker counterparts at a glance. These exploding tags can be used in place of weaker ones in jutsu involving them.
*In order to use these, it must be mentioned in the user’s bio that they carry this version of the exploding tag – otherwise, the user cannot use these.
