Yes but him aiming for the head proves intention to kill if he shot brown in the leg and he died there wouldnt be much of a fuss because it would be clear to everyone that his main intention was to subdue not to kill.
Did he shoot at the head at the beginning or when it had escalated beyond everything? Brown had Gun residue on the hand, inflicted injuries on the officer etc which means that the dead was not trying to be cooperative and just wanted to give a hug (Shooting accurately while wrestling isnt even easy for pro shooters, and the officer being a human also have emotions such as fear and intimidation) ..... All in all these are circumstances created when people take law and its enforcement as a joke, he would lived even reformed if he had just surrendered but resistance and being above the law is the norm nowadays .... hopefully this would have been warning to the lowlifes but it got blown out of proportion due to the race card. (While similarly a black officer killed a unarmed white teen high on drugs who attacked him .... there was no outage, cause white previlage I guess s:
If he stole something and was resisting to be arrested that makes him a criminal. these situations neither person is "innocent" the boy was a criminal and the cop's judgement to shoot him multiple times was poor. If the cop was being attacked by the kid, then there's nothing wrong in the result of him dying due to the cop defending himself. It's all about having some solid evidence in order to make a verdict
A flesh wound would only serve as a intimidation factor and would not actually stop anyone ... in fact it might enrage the assailant more. Also stop watching so much TV, you are grossly unaware of the reality.
Flesh helps slow down the suspect, and if its fear it puts into people that will certainly slow them down a bit. Your creditability is as the same of mine
People who act like brown is a saint and want to criticize how a police officer handles a gun speak as if they are some being who knows no fear and have handled every weapon known on earth.

Hardly .... when in battle rage one can surpass normal human limits, I myself fought 3vs1, even after the last guy had broken a rib (which still hurts after 10 years) ... it is the same as 'fight or flight' mode. Not to mention fear itself has a two probable outcomes, he will either surrender or fight harder for his life .... and by all evidence he chose to fight.

This case is not about race. It's about the cops in general hurting people. The only people trying to make it about race are the media and racists. The reason Al Sharpton and Eric Holder are active in this case in particular is because they are trying to help the black community as a whole grow. Which means stopping the violent protests and using peaceful means to get the message conveyed. Notice how there are no violent protests over the Eric Garner case, and yet the same conclusion was reached, even while being video-taped. It's clear that something is wrong with our cops(at least some of them), but that doesn't mean it's race. Cops have been killing and beating on citizens for years, and finally people are fed up with it. It's simply a different feeling for blacks because of the Rodney King incidents.
thug or kid, dumbass pewdeepee american cops could've just immobilized people by shooting them in the leg once or twice, avoiding vital areas. usa is just a police state rapidly morphing into a fascist regime. Killing civilians without being in any dire situations and getting away with it..pft.
And you people keep making it a race issue, completely ignoring the fact that if we let our fellow citizens be treated like this, it would eventually affect all of us. Listen to some Ron Paul and educate yourself.

So what are people actually doing about having better cops then? Nothing but blaming and explaining how people are better off without the whole system (God save all if that ever happens .... many people would reveal their true face then) ..... I would honestly like some people to suggest measures like more extensive training, or actually encouraging youngsters to take up the mantle (as far as I can see people who become cops are either people with high sense of morality who become good cops or people who cant get anything better who eventually become bad cops) ....
Not to mention you seem to be taking the effects of the riots way too lightly .... Fair few people's livelihood was burned down for no reason (which would ultimately cause problems to themselves and eventually they will blame it on someone else) and very few seems to care .... As you said some people need hell lot to grow up, but there is very little sigh of improvement there.

While I am all for improving the Law Enforcement system (Especially recruitment) .... But you are awfully ignorant about the situation, Brown though didnt deserve to die was not a law abiding innocent flower .... Or maybe you are enlightened enough to teach how to accurately shoot at the legs while wrestling (Even though any shot at the legs is likely to kill because of blood loss). Not to mention the people who lost their property during the riots deserves justice too, but I guess its secondary as it is sometimes acceptable to accept clearly criminal behavior.

It's not something that can be fixed over night. Laws will have to be made, rules will have to change. I believe one way to make things better is to hire cops that understand the area they are working in. I'll put my example like this. You wouldn't hire someone from New York City to take care of a National Park. Why? Simply because they don't see that environment everyday. They don't know what will happen, or what to expect from the park. The same thing can be applied to the police force. If Darren Wilson was a man that grew up in that area(Not even being black) don't you think he would have been able to diffuse the situation much easier? He would have had more respect for the kids entering the situation, and would have seen them for what they are(were); kids. That's just one solution though. I agree that more of our youth need to become cops, but why would kids in those areas be cops? They are taught all their lives that snitching is bad. Don't talk to the cops because they'll probably Rodney King your ass. We have to make the cops look better before the kids grow up wanting to be them again.
I'm not taking the riots lightly. I think the people who are rioting are scum-bags. They're abusing this tragedy for their own selfish needs. I just don't think we should give them as much attention as we give the peaceful protesters. Because once we give the rioters more attention, then the peaceful people start to question why they are being peaceful but getting no attention.

There's this awesome thing called pepper spray. And cops are supposed to be trained to handle those situations wisely. I guess they just hold doughnut eating contests at the police academies over there. And ok, he died, maybe accidentally. Cop gets away with it and not just that one cop. Many. Many turn into criminals themselves, protected by the law as government dogs.

Pepper spray isn't necessarily carried by all officers. Further, it's not going to stop a threat such as Brown.
As part of our training, we were exposed to OC spray (which is stronger than most police varieties) and had to fight through a gauntlet, to include a take-down of someone resisting arrest. And by "training" - I mean "So, we're going to take you guys out back and spray you with this shit, then have you go through a gauntlet you've never run without being blinded."
It sucks - but if you are in a charge toward an officer, it's not going to make much of a difference - particularly if you are expecting it.
You would also note that Brown was charging head-down at the officer. This was how the fatal shot hit brown - in the top of the head. Mace to the top of your head is not pleasant - but it is 'not optimal' - as the instruction manual would say.
I have a video of what a 'bad shoot' looks like and will post it in another thread.

That awesome thing called pepper spray is in truth not even 50% effective as a kick in the crotch ..... First of all Paper spray can only be used if the wind direction is right (if not you yourself will be the victim) and if the target has instinctively shut their eyes and made some even side way punch then you are screwed (anything from lost bottle to broken arm) ... Secondly it is useless in hand to hand as in this case and the close range spray would affect both (or none) and the one to recover first would be the victor. Real life scenarios are not even close to training (Just Google how it took 16 cops to subdue a man high on drugs who was masturbating) .... that is why the word 'veteran' has respect.
As for the cop turning bad thing .... Its is a part of human nature and thus I would prefer people with integrity to be cops .... and as for being protected if a cop is properly exposed then their career is over (This guy had to resign even though there would not be any charges) yet in the said riots the people who had their stuff destroyed wont even see justice, heck the Authorities wont even dare to look into the riots in fear of another uprising. A portion of cops (maybe major) are bad because from which the cops originally came from are bad .... lets not pretend otherwise.

That primarily comes to the recruitment issue again .... People need to apply before they can be posted. Personally I think the greatest change can be brought by issueing various form of camera equipment which can catch people in the act.
Like this where some really vague situation that was being misused was prevented:

Don't talk to the cops because they'll probably Rodney King your ass. We have to make the cops look better before the kids grow up wanting to be them again.
Yet those 'kids' were not so reluctant to become thieves and looters ..... Not to mention how 'Gangsta' culture is glorified among the ghetto areas, I dont think it is only because of bad cops prevents them, its more like the Rule of Law is a joke to them.

Similar to that we dont give much notice to the good cops who risk their lives to serve the people, but what d heck. Not to mention, there were peaceful protest in UK even (which alone shows the extent of coverage it got) .... but Frugarson people had to burn down things which in the end only reinforced the suspicion that it is full of lowlives.

Yeah cameras make all the difference. Refer to the Eric Garner case. The man was murdered on film, not resisting, and for the most part doing nothing wrong. Yet the officer was not indicted. We all saw him get murdered, but nope, the officer didn't do anything wrong.
Yet those 'kids' were not so reluctant to become thieves and looters ..... Not to mention how 'Gangsta' culture is glorified among the ghetto areas, I dont think it is only because of bad cops prevents them, its more like the Rule of Law is a joke to them.
You're talking about a different group of kids. I'm talking about the kids in elementary skill, still developing. I don't mean the idiots looting shit. The kids still in elementary school need to see that the cops aren't all bad. That cops are like them, and come from similar neighborhoods. When that happens, they won't be afraid of the cops and will get a new respect for them.
What does gangsta culture have to do with hurting the cops. That culture is only saying don't talk to the cops because they have never helped us in the past. So why would they suddenly start trying, when we keep getting all these reminders that they want to kill us? Not to mention most of the time in the past, when blacks would talk to the cops, they would get locked up. Look in the news at all the men getting released from jail for things they didn't even do. They talked to the cops, and the cops pinned whatever happened on them. So why would someone else talk to them after they just watched that happen to their uncle or dad?
The law is not a joke to people out there. It's just that the law is working against people in those areas. They sell drugs because they can't find jobs anywhere else. They resorting to struggling because the government can't help them. If you live in an impoverished area, can't find a job, and have kids to feed, what exactly would you do. I'd try my hardest to get out of that situation, but it's damn near impossible to make it out of those areas. You either struggle all of your life, or sell drugs and try not to get caught trying to make it out of that hell.
Similar to that we dont give much notice to the good cops who risk their lives to serve the people, but what d heck. Because the negative always outweighs the positive. Because a handful of people did something, that changes your opinion on an entire community? Like 99% of the community was being peaceful and protesting without violence, and the other 1% took advantage of that and started looting innocent people. That has nothing to do with Ferguson, it's simply those people are scum bags. The people who violently rioted are low-lives, not the entire town.

Fact remains that the americas are too trigger happy. Pepper spray, tasers, a humble persuading talk instead of the arrogance you muricans have. Policemen in my country talk to you as if they're on the same ground. No shit the people hate the general cop as they act like this: Look at the fat pig and his attitude.
There would be a fine and maybe a arrest in my country, but not as much tension as in this vid.
And I'm not justifying the riots, I know the ''african americans'' keep embarrassing themselves by showing how much class they lack to the world with their primitive behavior (generalizing and referring to the ones that do get into conflict with police and uphold this gangsta attitude instead of showing dignity), but the fire is fueled from both sides. And this is just one case. One tragic case that's hard to pick a side with, but how many black people were frisked, mistreated, wrongly accused and such before this thug looking kid?
You nb members keep focussing on the turtle and the hare story, trying to find out what kind of turtle or hare it was, completely ignoring the moral of the story. Try to look at the bigger picture.
I will not rest until us blacks can enter a restaurant without being looked with disgust at. I will not rest until the day i can enter a store without them assuming i want to steal something.
Yeah cameras make all the difference. Refer to the Eric Garner case. The man was murdered on film, not resisting, and for the most part doing nothing wrong. Yet the officer was not indicted. We all saw him get murdered, but nope, the officer didn't do anything wrong.
Yet we know who the victim was and who was criminal, unlike the case of Brown. That is at least basic working ground where improvement can begin.
So kids in elementary schools are being taught not to respect the Law, Law enforcement and officials? .... Good God, and then you argue how the fault lies elsewhere. They are supposed to respect the right and despise the wrong. Honestly this is a 'cop out' argument, it is also the society's duty to bring up proper citizens .... the Government and the Authority are not Gods that will do everything.
What does gangsta culture have to do with hurting the cops. That culture is only saying don't talk to the cops because they have never helped us in the past. So you mean to say Gangsta culture exudes law abiding civilized behavior?
Not to mention, the aforementioned riots also send reminders how 'civilised' certain people are. You seem to fail to understand that much like society which has good people and bad people the law enforcement also has good people and bad people .... but you would rather focus on the good side of your faction while ignoring the good of the opposing faction.
You are supposed to respect the Law and common good of society ... and you can actually do that without much Government help.
The law is not a joke to people out there. It's just that the law is working against people in those areas.
Considering there is buyer of drugs and usually people who knows the worth of their money dont buy drugs .... I am sure there is actually a cash flow present.
They resorting to struggling because the government can't help them.
First step would be not to burn down businesses, and not to have kids.
I'd try my hardest to get out of that situation, but it's damn near impossible to make it out of those areas. You either struggle all of your life, or sell drugs and try not to get caught trying to make it out of that hell.
No sob story would ever justify criminal behavior. (Especially since I hear about the welfare system) Selling drugs is not only illegal but actually ensures that a section of the society is kept down (Brits actually introduced Opium in China to make an entire section of their society to collapse and then take them over), the money and labor spent on drugs can be used by the very same people to start small establishments and grow. But people want things spoon fed to them ofc.

Which part of the entire episode where Brown was being uncooperative, tried to grab the gun from officer and actually bruised the officer you missed? Or are those negligible factors to you?

According to police, the first officer then pulled out his gun and shot Haider, ending the incident, which took place outside the Endeavour Hills station in southeast Melbourne.
Both police officers underwent surgery overnight, with one still in critical condition."

That can be totally agreed upon ... I really want better cops on the system but for the society needs to produce better citizens willing to take up the mantle. (As I said before)
You nb members keep focussing on the turtle and the hare story, trying to find out what kind of turtle or hare it was, completely ignoring the moral of the story. Try to look at the bigger picture.
Judging from the video .... some ******* prankster or racist ruined the day for both of them. The officer through being unecessarily suspicious behaved himself tolerably well enough .... even highfived the poor guy.

I wasn't even talking about the Brown case anymore at that point. Sure, he might have had coming to him what he deserved. Hard to pick sides on that one.
I've never been even close to Australia
The cop that handled the prankster is a fine example of the arrogant cops out there.
The one talking to the guy with his hand in his pockets acted more like an officer from my country would have. Kudos to him and obviously the general cop behaves like that. The issue here is the fact that the chicken crossing the road cannot simply be without being looked upon as a threat and questioned its very motive. Someone called for that black man walking down the street to be checked and so it is done. People call for corrupt officials to be checked and they'll be ignored. The power gap is the issue. Citizens can be questioned, but the authorities can't.
