It was hardly that arrogant (Though he could have simply said sorry) considering he was in a fix, if it was a serious call and he was neglectful he wld be in trouble and if it was not serious he would be in embarrassing situation .... not to mention no one arrogant would offer a high five as friendly gesture.I wasn't even talking about the Brown case anymore at that point. Sure, he might have had coming to him what he deserved. Hard to pick sides on that one.
I've never been even close to Australia
The cop that handled the prankster is a fine example of the arrogant cops out there.
The one talking to the guy with his hand in his pockets acted more like an officer from my country would have. Kudos to him and obviously the general cop behaves like that. The issue here is the fact that the chicken crossing the road cannot simply be without being looked upon as a threat and questioned its very motive. Someone called for that black man walking down the street to be checked and so it is done. People call for corrupt officials to be checked and they'll be ignored. The power gap is the issue. Citizens can be questioned, but the authorities can't.
Wasn't I clear enough when I separated the arrogant one from the high-fiver?..It was hardly that arrogant (Though he could have simply said sorry) considering he was in a fix, if it was a serious call and he was neglectful he wld be in trouble and if it was not serious he would be in embarrassing situation .... not to mention no one arrogant would offer a high five as friendly gesture.
For taking on a offcial another offcial is required .... A cop simply doesnt have the authority to take on the top brass which out risking to lose his job or worse. That is simply the basics of power hierarchy.
Well as you said I looked at the wider pictureWasn't I clear enough when I separated the arrogant one from the high-fiver?..
That problem honestly have no long term solution that is sustainable .... it originates from darker sides of human nature, wont ever be gone until human nature is changed cos power is never changed, it merely transferred. At the latter part: And that's a problem we should focus on instead of bickering amongst each other over matters like race.
You are gonna be one tired black guy. >-0I will not rest until us blacks can enter a restaurant without being looked with disgust at. I will not rest until the day i can enter a store without them assuming i want to steal something.
