^this is my question...^ who the heack is he? some animator?
Also, TMNT was epic... I used to wach the original, and sometimes wached the new one when I was awake... Is there going to be a new reboot? I hope they don't change the whole story again (wich happened in the last reboot, but it was surprisingly nice)... I'd hate to see Yougioh 5DS all over again... U_U
What does Yu-Gi-Oh got to do with this? :|
Transformers was nice.
Transformers two was okay.
Transformers three was pure shit.
IMO.
Agree with this!
Messed up story or not, you can never compare a movie to an anime series... Just like you can never compare a movie perfectly to a book because they can never work. You can never do the things seen in an anime because there are no laws when it comes to an anime, anything goes... Look at DBZ or One Piece or Bleach or Naruto etc. etc... Then try and do that on a big screen in a Live Action movie and it fails. Truth be told, I enjoyed Airbender and Transformers and Dragonball because I saw them for what they were - Movies. Sure the storyline changed and things weren't as good as the Anime Series, but it's quite obvious it was never going to be like that.
Same thing with a book... Some books are amazing then have extremely shitty movies that skip out details in the book or change things... But why complain if it works? Harry Potter skipped details and changed things... Twilight movies absolutely sucked with shitty effects and terrible acting, but the books aren't half bad in my opinion... Once I see the Hunger Games I'll most likely find changes between that and the book as well.
I can't make your mind up for you and I probably can't change your mind over the internet - I'm just trying to give you another perspective to view the movies and possibly a way to enjoy them. Judge simply the story line of the movie without comparing it to the anime series. Forget everything you know about who they are and where they live... Watch only the movie and make no comparisons with it, only judge whether it was a good movie or a bad movie.
I just met one person in my life who claimed - "I enjoyed Dragonball Evolution and The Last Airbender". Wow!
You should perhaps see more movies. Cause even on pure movie basis; without comparing them to anime - they are extremely shitty movies.
Harry Potter skipped details that concerned certain characters. Some were monstrously ignored like Dumbledore, Lupin, Sirius, Grindelwald, Ariana ect... and some characters were given very good depiction - Snape, Hermione, Voldemort to most extent. But they never changed the whole movie!
Do you imagine if they say that Harry was an alien who came from space! Cause that's the monstrosity this TNMT reboot is gonna suffer. Your argument doesn't weigh much; because your examples are bad.

@Mercy: I think we're not getting to a main point also! The fact that the basis of the plot is gonna be modified in the reboot is crap decision. We agree!
But still, it can be a good movie if they have proper storyline afterwards. But the reason, I'm angry is because I'm 100% skeptical that Micheal Bay will deliver such a great plot that knock you out cold regardless of the changes - whether they are mutants, aliens or circus turtles.
We surely would have been more confident (atleast hopeful) of having a great movie if someone C.Nolan or P.Jackson was behind the cameras.
It's the combo of M.Bay and changes in the plot that kills the movie before made.
