Hypothetically speaking...
If I were to create a set of rules for a turn-based fighting system, would you plebeians be able to refrain from Godmodding/Metagaming on your own accord?
I'm asking this to get a general feel of NB's level of knowledge in regards to different RP styles.
No offense intended; I'd just like to know how much I have to explain in my rules and how in-depth they have to be.

No, this doesn't have anything to do with the Naruto role-play here on the Base.
No, I don't copy stuff from NB.

Could you stick to a person and a tense throughout a scenario?

That wouldn't be easy, this is probably the first RP system most NB Rp'ers have been in, and breaking free of those bad habits built up over time would take a slight bit of dedication, something some people don't have a lot of. Godmodding & Auto Hits are seen in the majority of fights in NB, heck I Godmod all the time, instead of saying I aim to hit something, I say I hit it, partial laziness and partial habit. However for some people Godmodding is something they do in quantity and in scale. That's just my two sense, not really sure of the purpose of this thread. Is it to gather members to form a group of RP'ers who don't have those habits or?

This thread has nothing to do with the role-play on NB; it's just me getting a feel of how I should write the rules for my own role-play.

Four out of four say yes.
Come on, NB, I know you're filled to the brim with people who 'conveniently' sidesteps techniques.

Yup...Ive been doing that alot lately U_U
Your style is bland, but correct. I'm pretty sure you'd do very well if you were given some creativity-space, or simply encouraged to be creative.
Bland might be a bit too harsh, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying, right? It lacks color, but nobody gives their attacks color here on NB except when actively encouraged to do so.

I guess I understand what you're talking about, basicly means don't go and say that you'll opponent will die or that some body part will be hit when you attack, simply state you send the attack towards your opponent and specify an area but the opponent decides whether it hits in that specific area or not. Also, don't predict moves your opponent has stated in their turn but hasn't even carried out yet within the timeframe.

I try to roleplay that way but usually get lazy when my opponent doesn't even bother trying to avoid godmodding.

But to your actual question, I could probably stick to a person and a tense throughout a scenario, did it all the time when I used to roleplay online on GTA.

GTA? I played that for a while on some 'Las Venturas' server. I don't think it had any role-playing elements, but I can definitely see something good being created in there O:

So far you guys are seriously exceeding my expectations. I didn't think there'd be more than a few people here who'd claim the ability to stay way from Power Gaming.
