if luffy is not logia doflamingo can one shot him . he cut crocodile's head when he saved ace from execution just by doing something in his finger

It's ludicrous to say that Luffy needs both his current DF and the Mera Mera no Mi when his opponent is a paramecia type.

• the point with Smoker still stands, he is a logia type and Doflamingo beat him with next to no exertion
• Oda confirmed (discussed here) that he wants Luffy to achieve his goals, but with the most ridiculous power
• characters can gain power without devouring multiple DF, just look at Garp, Rayleigh, Shanks, and Vergo
• at some point, Luffy will surpass all of those just mentioned, it won't require another fruit to get there

Exactly... giving Luffy the Mera Mera no Mi won't change the fact that Doflamingo can restrict his movements/severe limbs.

• you act like getting another Devil Fruit will allow Luffy to tank powerful, haki-orientated blows

but at marineford when crocodile head was cut he survived cuz he was logia, if luffy will be logia he too can survive

O: Ahaha, that is true. It must seem like a mystery when you consider all the other strong and cool abilities. The answer is simple. I have picked the most ridiculous ability. If the protagonist were the typical strong guy, I doubt I could continue on with this for long. No matter how serious the story gets, Luffy is there to stretch and inflate. He always give me a chance to fool around. That's the kind of manga I wanted to write.

It's obvious that for whatever reason, Doflamingo chose not to apply haki to his sneek attack. It'd be a troll death.
Your also disregarding the fact that Doflamingo used the same attack, but with haki, to quickly incapacitate Smoker.

• Smoker is a logia type, he'd have the same passive intangibility as Crocodile

Though, this doesn't matter given that you've found the evidence you need to support the notion of Luffy never getting it.

I think the hardest thing for luffy to overcome is getting better at haki because we are learning that a lot of powerful devil users can use haki and are as well a logia type which kinda sucks.
