Background Info.
History: Not much is known of Mekai Shinpa, he was always a wanderer, a Missing-Nin, who was always being tracked down, he did not have a history in his abandoned village. In his early life, he lived in peace, without having contact with the ninja world, until the massacre of his clan brought him to his knees.
Supposedly at the age of 14 he left the village with the knowledge of controlling the Ice Element, a rare element, that is said to flow through his veins. Due to the lack of more detailed information, the only thing known is that one year later, he was caught and imprisoned in some catacombs beneath Kirigakure.
Impressive enough, Mekai took approximatively thirty minutes to escape, killing both guards that were protecting the cell. From there on he was considered an S-Rank rogue shinobi, weirdly though, even though he only committed two murders on those guards.
At the age of 15, he took on the Leadership of the Lightning Temple, showing his immersive skills to the Elders there. Even though he didn't spend much time on it, he always considered that temple as a home, even if he was a refugee of his own world. Three months later he had met probably the most influent man in his life, Kisame Hoshigaki, the strongest of the Seven Swordsmen at that time.
Unknowingly, he attacked Kisame, in desperate search for money, only to be sucked of chakra. Yet, Kisame liked his attitude and guts, and took him under his tutelage, for 2 months, Mekai Shinpa trained under Kisame. Even though he never managed to match the skill of any of the Swordsmen he developed his own fightning style: Samurai Arts. Learning quick, yet lethally moves with his newly achieved blade, Raiu. Something happened meanwhile, and he left Kisame, yet he kept the robe Kisame gave him. It was an Akatsuki disciple robe.
At the age of 16, he was the first to ever sign the Fox Contract, whilst he spent 1 year in the Fox Island, and island, which was virtually inexistent, he learned how to control all elements there, and how to summon every elemental Fox.
When he returned, he was stronger in all viewpoints, even growing his hair longer, but keeping Raiu.
His nickname came from when he fought some bandits, and after he freezed everyone, because of the strong sun, a dark aura was reflected above him, looking like a ghost.
