Alright so Meiton or Dark Release is a kekkai genkai element that allows the user to absorb and release energy from their palms through the use of special marks. These can absorb any form of energy including Senjutsu without actually causing any potential harm to the user due to the chakra being stored in its own little pocket dimension of sorts.

Why? Cause Ive always had an interest in it, ive just never got around into actually trying to make it happen up until now.

Yes, Dark can absorb, through physical contact with the Dark Mark or from pure dark chakra itself, it is quite the ability and even range can't escape the wrath of it's absorption prowess. The only problem is the density of chakra itself, when it takes the form of certain elements that are more solid it becomes almost impossible to absorb as a dark user. Keep that in mind.

We have Physical touch abilities like Dark Release : Draining Touch and then Anti Jutsu techniques like Dark Release : Inhaling Maw and Dark Release : Netherworld Gates. Just to give me confirmation that you understand, tell me something about each jutsu listed that you like and dislike. I'll then tell ya my own opinion.

Dark Release: Draining Touch is a pretty dope technique because you can combine with non elemental taijutsu so if you manage to strike the opponent with an open palm strike you can hit them and siphon chakra away from them. Nothing really to say negative wise besides your palm having to be open as the positioning of your hand is needed to expose the marks to the enemy.

Dark Release: Inhaling Maw - The bread and butter technique of the AE. You utilize your dark marks to absorb the chakra into them that you can then later use for other dark release based techniques. It's pretty generic but it's that way for the purpose of the art.

Dark Release: Netherworld Gates - Another absorption based technique in which the user spreads their arms to both sides, creating vortexes that pull chakra near them and into the seals. This follows the whole "Absorbs one rank higher, same rank for neutral and one rank below for weakness" formula of dark.

Yeah I love Draining Touch for that, but I do think it should have a damage option for if you decide to do a taijutsu strike. Shoulda be update imo, but it's how it is - rather than using two moves up for Taijutsu and Dark should be an all in one so you can do more.

I don't have anything to add to inhaling maw, it's fine and simple.

Netherworld gates is great for getting out of attacks that come at you from all sides, but it's restriction to perfectly hold up your arms irks me. As im paranoid bout enemies using it to their advantage.

Moving on, Is there any Dark Release jutsu that is your favourite from the list aside from the absorption techniques.

This one is also cool asf as it's one of the rare dark techniques that don't need you to absorb the chakra before hand with the usage limit being the only downfall.

Yeah Usage limits do my head in, but yes - pure dark techniques usually dont need to have absorbed anything before hand. Though this has changed with evolution of Dark Techniques. Older ones like this are exceptions. Dark Techniques have gotten more advanced so require absorption beforehand. But we are pretty well equipped to deal with that Ain't we my barnacle friend.

Alright. What I want now is a Move example using at least two dark techniques and then another of your choice. All you have heading towards you is a S-Rank Blast of Fire with +20 Damage, no extra chakra added. Get creative.]

Juvia wasted no extra effort - as she saw the fire coming directly at her much to her own inconvenience as her water was sealed away due a strong barrier around herself. She would firstly reach into her ninja pouch a she took hold of a gadget within it while using her dark mark to absorb the chakra from within the barnacle in order to fuel her technique as she aims her palm outwards with her other hand.

From this, she also absorbed the fire into her dark mark, remaining completely unharmed. Once this combo was finished - she would release the flames outwards at the enemy into an inferno that swiftly consumes the enemy with no mercy.
(Fujitsuboātsu : Gajettofujitsubo) - Barnacle Arts : Gadget Barnacle

Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive

Description:
The user will perform one handseal and summon what seems to be a generic Acorn Barnacle about they size of a coin in their hand, this isn't a summon and just a barnacle art that the user can use. The user can throw this Acorn Barnacle onto a target and it will permanently bind to it as long as it is solid (Person, Summon, Rock etc), the Gadget Barnacle has a number of effects and can only use one.

Source-cle
This Barnacle is used to bring up sources that may be needed depending on the user and their abilities. For example if the user is a water user then the source-cle will be thrown and it will release a puddle of water that will splash on the ground (can also be used as a C-rank water defence). Also creates an Ink Source if needed, (Puddle of Ink) or a source for Dark Release; The shell is gripped in the palm of the user's hand and the chakra is absorbed straight into the user capable of utilising one Dark Technique with it. Creates a Flame from the opening of the shell if that is a required source (Makeshift Lighter), can be used as a Mist Bomb which creates a small veil big enough to hide a couple of persons.


Spider-cle
Six tendrils will act as legs from the Shell and be able to move around, capable of carrying an item like a Shuriken or Kunai, Scroll or a Message (For RP use in the Ninja World) in a couple of their tendrils whilst the other four are used to move around. The Spider however is also a Bomb, is basically an explosive device that can be exploded at any time, before sticking to a target or after it. It creates a C-Rank explosion with a radius of 2 meters, the explosion isn't enough to kill and only blow the opponent away and cause minor burns. It can either be a Flame Explosion, Wind, or Lightning. The spider-cle moves at the same as their user's base speed.

Weapon-cle
The Acorn Barnacle actually becomes a powerful transformation, taking the shape of a weapon of the user's choosing. They can withstand up to C-Rank Elements before breaking, the barnacle can transform into a pair of weapons splitting the rank into D-Rank each.

Corrupt-cle
The Acorn Barnacle will be thrown at the ground where it will attach to it permanently with it's natural ability too, through this natural ability they have gained a knowledge and sort of affinity to earth of sorts. So the Earth is taken control by the barnacle and they will manipulate it into a 2 foot earth golem, it is capable of communication with the user and attacking with it's mouth and fists - like the Bomb-cle this acts like a C-Rank earth technique.

- These don't have to be summoned, they can already be on the user if stated in the bio.
- Body of the Thoracica and Legs of the Thoracica can be used through a Gadget Barnacle
- Barnacle Community Summons like "Oregon", "Barbaracle" can use Gadget Barnacles from their body.
- To use Varieties like Ink and Dark of the Source-cle then you have to be a user in that form of Ninjutsu
- Using One Gadget Barnacle costs a turn
- Must have signed the Barnacle Contract
- Can only use two different types of Gadget per turn
- Cannot use the same type more than once a turn.

Description:
The user, when facing an attack, will clap his hands together and separate them right after. As he separates his hands, a small dark sphere will be between them. The user maintains his hands close to sustain the small sphere while it siphons any enemy technique or enemy chakra within range towards itself. The sphere is a "void" made by activating both absorbing markings in the users hand at the same time and opposing them to each other, which creates this effect. This technique is essentially a more advanced and powerful version of Dark Release: Inhaling Maw and enables the user to absorb higher ranked techniques. However, when used, the user needs to wait one turn to use Dark Release absorption related techniques.

(Meiton: Kyūkyoku no Jajjimento) - Dark Release: Ultimate Judgment
Type: Offensive
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40

Description:
A stronger version of the Dark Release: Judgment technique, the user will convert the absorbed chakra from either two uses of Dark Release: Inhailing Maw or one use of Dark Release: Ultimate Inhaling Maw and then releases it into light blue flames, turning it back on their enemies with amplified strength to blow them away. To do this, the user releases chakra from the markings in both his hands.
Note: Must have absorbed enemy techniques before using.

Yea actually it's something I noticed with like Klad or you. When you absorb chakra, do you make note of it like "Dark Chakra: 80" or was that specific due to CJ?

Yeah this is a common problem as it's not really stated. I always recorded it as "Charges" and has never really been a problem with mods or sensei. When I absorb a jutsu with Inhaling maw, most jutsu require just that to be used - no matter the technique absorbed I just say that's 1 charge = 1 successful use of inhaling maw. when I used Ultimate inhaling maw to absorb a jutsu that inhaling maw couldn't i count it as 2 charges. then I use .5 for some of the weaker charge custom I have. Klad used the chakra route I noticed, that works too tbh. if you absorb an a-rank you get 30 dark chakra you can spend, but do you deduct that from your new count or from the chakra count as a whole or both? I'd say both, because we'renot allowed to have a secret dark stash. Unless there is a jutsu for it.

My Method basically :
you use a B-Rank absorption technique (e.g. inhaling maw and other customs), you can output A-Rank Dark Release
A-Rank Absorption technique = S-Rank Output
S-Rank Input = S-Rank + Output
then the same for lower ranks C-Rank input = B-Rank output
D-Rank Input = C-Rank output
