In what universe does not being hurt by an extremely small quantity of something, mean you can tank any amount of it? Lol. Mei being immune to her Boil Release isn't evidence that she's immune to her Lava too, otherwise I could come to the same conclusion and say that she's immune to her Suiton as well, even though anyone with half a brain knows that isn't true.
-Small Bijuu Dama was tanked by PS, I guess no matter the size Bijuu Dama will still tank it.
In Narutoverse.
Meh, but probably you believe every single character in Narutoverse can do that without getting injured at all.

Blindly swing Totsuka around, really? You think Itachi can sustain a Susano'o and actively use Totsuka, especially when the acid mist is eating away at his Susano'o? And you think this is a good idea on the off chance she may be hit? Kabuto's cave is rather big, it isn't tall but it is very wide (You must be registered for see links).

So in Narutoverse, Ay withstanding a bit of Amaterasu on his body means that he can withstand a Bijuu sized Amaterasu flame? In real life, a candle fire will burn someone as bad as a wildfire? Lol.
Can do what?
Let's say she is immune to her acid and lava with which she gets in touch with automatically when using it, to ensure she won't harm herself with her own usage. But if someone repelled her lava and threw it back to Mei, she would get burned.
Mei being immune to her own lava and acid is called plot-shield.
It's like Roshi being able to cover himself in an armor of lava.
No. Since, if she wasn't immune to acid, he would suspend her body the same damage as the opponent, making the usage senseless. If she's immune to lava, then there's no reason to dodge Madara's Katon. It isn't. Sasuke was harmed by his own Chidori, Naruto was harmed by his own Fuuto: Rasenshuriken. Mei being immune to Futton and Youton isn't a plot hole but her resistance to extremely high temperatures and acidic substances.
