Mei can block vision w/ mist. Shouldn't be a problem to get to he Pain body w/ that.
what kind of evidence is this? just because there wasn't lava on the Susanoo hand isn't proof that lava wasn't used to melt it, since the effects of lava are still apparent on Susanoo after the magma is already gone (unless you're saying Susanoo will just "repair" itself once the magma falls off it, which obviously isn't the case.) No im not talking about the whole battlefield, only the area around mei which wasYou must be registered for see links.
I'm not here to question the motives of characters. evidence points it to be lava that melted the susanoo arm, and that scan certainly isn't proof that mei is capable of using AoE level acid mist which is what you're claiming.
Eh, being able to melt the outermost layer of the Susano'o does not guarantee an instant death when it comes to Cerberus. It was pretty much hyped to be immortal by both theYou must be registered for see linksand theYou must be registered for see linksand frankly, it seemed to live up that hype, taking on attacks infused with Sage Chakra or attacks that injure on a cellular level and still being able to fight afterwards. (In the former instance, being able to immediately take on and overpower three boss toads without trouble.) If those attacks barely even injured him, why are you so absolutely certain that the acidic mist will be able to take him out? Especially since, in this instance, Pein should be able to keep it under control despite the fact that it's in pain. (Which it succumbed to against the Amaterasu, rendering it disabled.)
Curious question, but is there anything stopping the paths from using ninjutsu? Nagato possesses a fuuton that should blow away the acidic mist and make safe the summonings.
Futton burns through flesh, skin and all chakra defences (4th Databook). The point is, Futton is hundreds of times more deadly than Amaterasu, because it attacks you from every single direction. What is the dog gonna do when it gets its eyes destroyed? And 2 seconds later its skin melts and bones crumble.
Not to mention that Mei can Water Pillar snipe Animal Path from the underground and then simply fire a Youton Ball to the face.
We don't know that, but going by the portrayal they cannot use Ninjutsu. Also, it's Nagato who has Fuuton, not Animal Path body.
Animal path med difficulty.
Her mist doesn't even burn fast enough for it to be her safe card here. Plus the Centipede can sneak up and attack her from underground not to mention Cerberus can easily get of her mist Aoe etc.
I know that, I asked if there is anything stopping them from using ninjutsu. They use the Rinnegan abilities just fine, and even Edo Nagato didn't use any of his ninjutsu (Presumably due to how inferior it was to the Rinnegan). I personally don't see why they can't, if they are capable of summoning and using basically every other form of ninjutsu.

I'm perfectly aware of the acid mist's properties. What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't be so sure of its effectiveness against Cerberus. Is it truly so far-fetched to theorize that Pein would be able to use the being that was able to take on the attacks I mentioned above and still fight to power through the mist? The Rasenshuriken did not tear it apart, why should it only take to seconds for the acidic mist to 'crumble its bones'?
As for the majority of your post, frankly, I almost feel that I should ignore it..
- Amaterasu completely spreads and engulfs the opponent in mere seconds, it's effect is not too different from the acidic mist in that case.
- The eye comment does nothing but imply that your knowledge on Pein's abilities is severely limited. A blinded path was able to block hits against a Sennin Jiraiya due to the shared vision, even if the dog's eyes melt, Pein could still utilize it.
- The part about the Animal Path itself has me thinking that you didn't even check out my other posts. It won't just stand somewhere by in the open, either it will take flight on the Bird or it will stay concealed inside the Chameleon. That tactic is the absolute cornerstone of the Animal Path's fighting style: Staying at a safe distance while utilizing the summons for offense.
Why would Mei give Animal Path time to set up her strategy? If they have full intel on each other, Mei can start up with Water Pillar immediately. What is Animal Path gonna do? Because Mei can straight up deliver Animal Path right into a Lava Globe or into a Concentrated Futton Spit.
It's funny that you and other people believe that it's going to be Animal Path who makes the first move, yet completely discretid Mei's ability to rush up the opponent. Not to mention that Animal Path isn't a combat type herself, while Mei showed some remarkable speed and durability feats.
Oh, I'm sorry. I must have missed the part where the OP described the conditions of the fight as "Mei stands a few feet behind the Animal Path who has his head lodged in the ground and his ass pointing up to the skies".
Seriously, I despise these kinds of arguments. "This guy will immediately start out the fight by whipping out this one technique and killing his opponent." Neither one is going to OHKO the other with an immediate blitz right at the beginning, arguing so is ridiculous.
First, don't assume. The OP said nothing about full intel.
Second, don't underestimate the Paths of Pein. Jiraiya in his Sennin Mode stoodYou must be registered for see linksfrom the Animal Path's backside at one point in their fight and even so, he managed toYou must be registered for see linksto defend himself. But yeah, of course. Mei will just immediately hit him with a flurry of attacks and melt him low diff. Despite the fact that the OP said absolutely nothing about the conditions of the fight, such as the intel, distance or location. Along, of course, with the fact that as you yourself said, the Animal Path is not a combat type and would therefore start out by distancing himself from his opponent, either to analyze his abilities or to defend against them, depending on the conditions of the match. gg, no re
Great. But since OP didn't specify any details, I'm assuming it's mid distance, at least some basic intel and a neutral locaiton. And with such conditions Mei can easily start off with what I said. Just because you don't like such arguments doesn't change the fact that with 1 hand seal Mei can release a water hell from the underground.
Can you actually come up with any counter to Water Pillar assault? Because if you cannot, saying my arguments are ridiculous is way more ridiculous.
I won't lie, my knowledge on Mei's Suiton is pretty limited. But screw it, I'll try regardless and hope I won't be missing anything. Okay:
In conclusion, not only does the path have the ability to sense the incoming attack, he also has the ability to respond accordingly, as far as I see. So why exactly do you assume that Mei will be able to take him down with this tactic?
- Okay, Mei can start off with what you said, but at the same time, the Animal Path can start off with what I said. Which is to summon the Bird, take flight and create a distance between the two. We can argue about this as long as you want, but I don't see a point in it since I doubt we'll be able to find out whether the Path will get hit or not.
- You don't seem to be taking into account the Rin'negan's visual abilities here. Dojutsu gives color to Chakra
You must be registered for see links. If Mei attempts to attack from below, the path will know.- I've already posted links that show just how quickly the Path can summon, alongside his above average reflexes, but to simplify, I'll post them again. [

If Mei starts with what I said, which is Water Pillar, Animal Path and any summon she managed to call, both will be thrown up in the air by a giant body of water exploding from the underground. Then a simple Water Dragon to send Animal Path straight into a Youton. Animal Path has literally 0 counters. The strategy worked against Madara in his Susano'o, so there's no way Animal Path could resist something like that.
Also, am I missing something or was Rinnegan never shown to give color to chakra? As far as I remember it was Sharingan that could see chakra and its colors and Byakugan which could be used to look into one's chakra system.
