I automatically dislike every matchup where Mei is the obvious loser. Stop making Goddess Mizukage look bad.

@Nattana that was Kirigakure

Edit 2: @Nattana

That was due to prolonged exposure to Youton, not Futton...

Go re-read the manga before you sprout such nonsense.

you make yourself look dumber by the minute. if she actually did use it, you would've showed me a scan.

In the end it'll come down to Cerberus and the Chameleon, Lava Release should be able to take care of the rest, especially when their gigantic size is taken into account. (Making them an easy target) The Chameleon would allow him to stay hidden for the most part, possibly granting Pein the opportunity to sneak in a surprise attack, such as impaling her with a chakra rod.

As for Cerberus, it all comes down to whether Lava Release can put him down and, more importantly, keep him down. Personally I'm leaning more towards Pein's side on this one. Even a technique that attacks on a cellular level was unable to keep him down and Nagato himself seemed convinces that Naruto would not be able to bring him down and should rather focusing on attacking the source. (In this case the Animal Path who would likely either be concealed within the Chameleon or sky high on top of the Bird) As of now, the only attack that succeeded in taking down Cerberus was the Amaterasu, which is notable for its ability to spread quickly once it has reached a target, as well as sticking to that target until it is completely incinerated. Lava alone is not sure to work, especially not if Pein plays it smart and has Cerberus divide himself multiple times beforehand, which would make it much harder for Mei to take him out for good.

All in all I'd give it to Pein, as long as he plays it smart, either by staying airborne with the help of the Bird or standing concealed within the Chameleon while using Cerberus as his main offense, as Mei's techniques are unlikely to be able to take care of him for good. Another tactic would be a sneak attack from behind while she's occupied with the other summons, which could consist of an attack from the Chameleon or an impaling with a chakra rod.

Susano'o's hand partially melted down before it even hit Mei. Animal Path's summons die before they even realize what's going on.

LOL SMH relying on an outlier feat like that. That isn't proof the acid mist Mei used against it was AoE level, in fact that's not even proof Mei used acid mist at all. In my opinion, the Susano'o arm was partially melted away due to being exposed to lava for an extended period of time.

We can see that lava is corrosive VS Susanoo and that even a ribcage can tank lava if only exposed for a few seconds . But if immersed in a bath of lava, it will start eating through Susano'o (which is why on the next page, Madara powered up to a V2 and even then we can see that lava did have an effect on Susano'o . So I believe Mei used large-scale lava techniques to corrode through a Susano'o arm. It doesn't seem like acid mist was used since there wasn't any mist in the area . Regardless, that's a nice durability feat for Mei (which I completely forgot about) since she survived that Susano'o punch and survived a punch (in a weakened state) from SZ Yamato's wood buddha as well. It's clear Mei can take a pounding.

Lol. That couldn't be lava. There was no lava on the hand whatsoever and a single Youton shot isn't melting the whole arm. Susano'o simply gangbanged Mei and Futton was taking care of them in a certain area. Obviously the AoE wasn't big enough to cover the whole battlefield lol, so showing some scans from specific angles of a few hundred m radius battlefield is pointless.

Not to mention why would Mei even use her Youton against 5 V4 Legged Susano'o if she obviously can't hit them all simultanoeusly, hell, even cover a single one 100% with her Lava Release. Futton on the other hand was a way better choice.

what kind of evidence is this? just because there wasn't lava on the Susanoo hand isn't proof that lava wasn't used to melt it, since the effects of lava are still apparent on Susanoo after the magma is already gone (unless you're saying Susanoo will just "repair" itself once the magma falls off it, which obviously isn't the case.) No im not talking about the whole battlefield, only the area around mei which was .

I'm not here to question the motives of characters. evidence points it to be lava that melted the susanoo arm, and that scan certainly isn't proof that mei is capable of using AoE level acid mist which is what you're claiming.

Eh, being able to melt the outermost layer of the Susano'o does not guarantee an instant death when it comes to Cerberus. It was pretty much hyped to be immortal by both the and the and frankly, it seemed to live up that hype, taking on attacks infused with Sage Chakra or attacks that injure on a cellular level and still being able to fight afterwards. (In the former instance, being able to immediately take on and overpower three boss toads without trouble.) If those attacks barely even injured him, why are you so absolutely certain that the acidic mist will be able to take him out? Especially since, in this instance, Pein should be able to keep it under control despite the fact that it's in pain. (Which it succumbed to against the Amaterasu, rendering it disabled.)
