i was thinking, couldn't her mist obscure his vision and so he wouldn't know where to attack? and then her acid mist could melt off his armour just like it melted sasuke's ribcage susanoo? post your thoughts peeps.

the same way it melted sasuke's susanoo. it's not a question of elemental superiority, but rather that her solid fog jutsu melts chakra-based ninjutsu

I'm not the biggest fan of the Third Raikage... I think a lot of people overrate him

But Mei gets stomped in this. If she even tries to use water style at all, it will end badly for her.

EDIT: Corrosive mist is too gradual of an attack to get through the third's lightning armor. He's too fast too. The battle would be over before mist had time to work.

I agree as well. V1 3rd Raikage is no where near as fast as V1 Ae, which is why many Shinobi reacted and intercepted his moves. If they can react to him, then so can Mei. Her acidic mist would melt him anyway.

The guy from the mist village saved Naruto and created a Lava Balloon. The shinobis erected Doton walls before he could reach them. He doesn't seem that fast to me.

V1 Ae Blitzed Juugo twice, when he parried Bee once or twice. His reflex rates are out of this world. According to Chee they are like Flashes of Light. Third was mostly known for his spear and shield, not for his speed.

Show us a scan of the third being hit by a tbb.

Oh yeah thats right, it doesn't exist.

Its more likely he dodged it, if it was even fired at him at all.
The only real tanking feat the third has was tanking the rasenshuriken. And even that was debateable because after it hit him, the lightning shield was deactivated and he was on the floor.

He only got up again because of Edo Tensei's regen abilities
