OC: We should be performing diagnosis on your fingers instead of Scaze's arm! Hope you heal fast, I know how painful it is to cut your fingers on powersaws. I sliced a piece of my thumb last year on a tablesaw, leaving the side of my thumb at a 45 degree angle slice. *_*
Question: I'm unsure how to go about the diagnosis if we are unable to attempt using our scanning chakra, so I am going to wing it.
___
Luffy's eyes widen as he notices his teacher inflicting a stab wound onto his classmate's upper arm, in the center region. Having been ordered to not perform an actual chakra-enhanced diagnosis on his fellow classmate, Luffy prompted for something else. He walked over to his classmate and looked at the wound with the kunai lodged inside. Blood was seen escaping at a low rate. Luffy knew he had to stop the bleeding, or at least slow it down and pulling the kunai may hinder things further. With that in mind, he reached into his ninja pouch and grabbed some ninja wire, quickly yet cautiously wrapping it above the wound, about 1-2 inches away. Luffy wrapped it tight enough to reduce blood flow and prevent heavy bleeding from continuing but he also made sure it wasn't tight enough where irreversible damage could occur. Luffy was hesitant to pull the kunai due to the potential overflow of blood that could begin to happen. Luffy began to look at his classmate's facial expression to assess just how painful the wound was as well as pay attention to the amount of blood being lost. He then looked onwards to his other classmate for assistance.
What do you think Howard? (Unsure what your bio's name is)
Both of you very, very, good. Howard that was very long, but very detailed, well done.OOC: Bio is drawing most of his diagnosis from the referenced technique's effects and subsequently giving a prognosis from how the human body reacts to the below technique.
Sado was still half focusing on his chakra flow trying to ascertain how his passive life force sensing could help aid in diagnosis. Eventually after a quick explanation from an older more experienced medical shinobi who had been auditing the class Sado gained a fair understanding of the premise. As he was listening to this explanation while simultaneously altering the flow of chakra he glanced over as the main proctor thrust a kunai into one of his fellow student's bicep. He passively sensed the life force of his fellow student noting that the injury was not and would not be fatal. Merely wrapping it in cloth or binding it moderately would more then likely stop the bleeding. He looked the wound over from a distance knowing of a technique that he had created that did a very similar thing. He didn't know the names of all of the muscles due to his inexperience with medical ninjutsu but he had a rudimentary understanding of the human body.
Well, my best guess is the stab wound probably have nicked the muscle tissue below the bicep as well as the bicep itself. The way the kunai went into the flesh it seemed like it passed through the bicep into the muscles under it doubt it reached the bone though. It doesn't seem to be a deep lasting wound with quick and precise healing it could be a non-factor in seconds. However without treatment and even improper treatment it could lead to muscle weakness and the inability to lift the arm properly without pain now, and later on in life. The stab itself seemed to cause a quick sharp pain leading to immediate weakness in the upper arm and possibly even the shoulder and forearm muscles connected to the upper arm. I'd expect grip strength to falter and flexing would cause the pain to radiate further up and down the arm.
I have a technique that causes similar damage attacking the trapezius nerve bundle in a similar fashion to cause weakness in the arms. I'd expect he'd have a tough time forming hand seals but the wound won't kill him even with time or improper treatment.
Sado spoke with a monotone voice, already mentally distancing himself from the patient. As he did so Luffy began to wrap the patients arm with Ninja Wire. As this happened Sado's eyes widened a little he seemed to keep his composure but it still seemed as if he was concerned with the way Luffy was trying to tend to the wound. He figured something like that would simply make the injury worse taking into consideration Ninja Wire was designed to cut and tear through flesh. He interrupted Luffy's quick impulsive actions with more quickly spoken rhetoric it took him seconds to say everything he was trying to say start to finish. He seemed to be trying to figure out the most effective way to treat the patient instead of rushing in and causing more problems.
O_O, just sterilizing it, then stitching it or cauterizing it, before covering it with sterile bandages should do the trick. The muscle tissue itself will regenerate with time, and he's definitely not going to die. I've seen people have their arms torn off out in the Ninja World in battle and after being brought to the hospital and being healed they gained a new arm and lived their life just fine.
In Sado's mind muscles were muscles, and he figured just like the technique he created the muscle would repair itself overtime and his own inexperienced meddling would just cause more problems. The best course of action he thought of would be exactly what he stated cleaning the wound, and stitching it closed making sure to stop blood flow and keeping the wound from being infected. If stitching was impossible cauterization would be an option.
Okay, Scaze now I want you to do the same as them, just a different injury.
I walk over to Moofy, and grab out a kunai that had collected a large of amount of rust, the kunai was no longer black, it was a red-orange-brown like colour, I then walk over to Moofy and stab him in the centre of his stomach, just above his bellybutton.
