Maybe Obito didnt awaken his MS

So from what i've read to awaken the MS you need to have killed someone close to you, that being said Obito didnt kill anyone but Kakashi killed Rin. I think Kakashi activated the MS but couldnt handle it because he's a non-uchiha and passed out and because their eyes are linked Obito got his. If all you needed was to see was a close person die than alot of uchiha's would have them over the years/wars.

P.S.- sorry if someone already made this thread but i'm not on the base alot to know if they did

But their eyes weren't linked like Obito's and Kakashi's.

All you need to do is have an emotional dispatch and BAM you awaken your Mangekyou Sharingan.

You don't have kill someone to trigger MS, you have to have the Sharingan and 'wittness' someone closest to you die.

This is how Sasuke got MS, not from killing Itachi, but realizing Itachi was actually very important to him and vice versa,
after Tobi told him his life story.

The sharingan + awareness of kinship + wittnessing the death of kin = Mangekyou Sharingan.

In the case of obito and kakashi, it could have been either reason. I don't think there is enough evidence to support either one. Maybe they each got it at the same time; kakashi by killing Rin and obito by witnessing it. Who truly knows.
