Another member did theorize that Madz wanted a truce but Izuna was getting on the way coz he wants to continue fighting so Madz killed him for the sake of the clan mirroring Itachi who killed his clan for the sake of konoha

that's what I think, Madara wanted peace like Hashi, but their younger brothers were more soldier like in that
kill or be killed I think, for their clans
