You're not lowering standards as the same standards for service would need to be met, you'd be lowering expectations if anything but I don't expect every squad in the military to perform at optimum levels all the time or as good as each other squad. Taking any and all females might be a problem, taking tested and proven and determined and willing females shouldn't be. And by the by, Ms. Pavilchenko would **** your day up
. Not every man is fit for the military and not every woman is but those who are, are, regardless of their gender.
With men you don't know you're getting an inferior squad until they try them. With women they don't even need to try, they are dead weight.

How do you justify all these negatives? General inferiority physically, more injury prone, pregnancy, holding up the unit for vaginal problems whether it be period or urination.

Seriously what besides weakness comes from this?

"If" they make the standards they still do worse than all male units and get injured more often. Not to mention men can't get pregnant, don't have periods, and don't need to pull down their pants to urinate.

If sexism is saying women are empirically inferior to men in combat, then I'm a sexist.

i still don't get it it doesn't hurt anyone it just increases the marines capabilities since they have more personnel.

It can literally get people killed and you're saying it doesn't hurt anyone?

No, the choice to make is to minimize weakness in military effectiveness.

But when there are more reserves the military will only get stronger. I think it's fair if you sacrifice military efficiency for strength. Israel does that and they've been successful so far.

There are more than enough men. It's just weakness.

Who wanted them to change the requirements? Or has it already? Slightly confused

Two years ago, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the nation’s top military officer, laid down an edict on the Obama administration’s plan to open direct land combat jobs to women: If women cannot meet a standard, senior commanders better have a good reason why it should not be lowered."

They keep on failing out

I see. Doesn't seem too dire to be honest. Requirements could just be explain to be needed to have an effective soldier, so those who fail would be ineffective soldiers hence their failing. Although I'm not too knowledgeable on this subject.

Lowering standard will create even more disastrous results. If they really want the same combat roles as males, then standards should be the same .

And once they get in they will be awarded for less work and will be punished less compared to their male counterparts.

The only real time the bathroom excuse plays a role is in times quiet enough you can focus on using the bathroom. In the middle of a fight nobodies gonna take the time to duck out and use the bathroom, they'll go in the midst of combat and handle it when/if they can later. General physical inferiority would be an issue if you put them on assault squads, place them in medic and sniper roles and they still serve. This isn't the day of swords and shields this is the technology days and physicality isn't as necessary in a soldier as it was in the past. So again, not every woman should be accepted and not every man should either, if the person is willing, able and qualified for any position they should be allowed to fill that position regardless of gender. Since you ignored it the first time I'll reiterate, had the Soviet union shared your views the world would have never experienced one of the most successful/lethal snipers in history, Lyudmila Pavlichenko

Better keep the standards same unless they will get killed .

and from what I know they choose the strongest men ( mentally and physically ) so it's okay to choose strongest women too .
