so i think that marco's is in shanks pirate crew because of these 4 things:

second: he stopped the war.

third: he said to sengoku to declare the war finished and he also carried with the burials of wb and ace due to respect.

forth: they did the latest and they did with the wb's crew.

therefore i think they are in shanks crew. plus i think that wb had a lot of enemies.

I still believe that Marco is leading the WB pirates. If he went to shanks crew it would mean his dishonoring his name of 1st division leader of the WB crew. I see can see him as the current captain of his crew with the goal of destroying the BB pirates.

Captaing the WB remnants i believe, going by the fact that those Gorosei guys counted them indepent of any of the other four they said cld pawn down BB.

There was an understanding that was hinted at by Oda in that one grave scene, with Shanks being genuinly sympathetic n Marco being gratefull so i doubt they wld b firing their cannons at one another if they ran into each other on the high seas but each has their own agenda though teaming up later to face BB or the marines n WG is a likely thing.

shanks is protecting them till they met up with luffy
Wbs last order was too back up straw hat luffy with their lifes
also marco was saying when law was escaping with luffy
