I can't believe that I have to explain that WB wasn't saying "The Crew" was splitting up, he was saying "this is where we split" due to the fact that he wanted them to get away while he stays and fights off the Marines. He was implying that he will die here and they need to live on. Oh yeah... and the fact that there was a....split in the ground between them.
