Naruto's purpose is not only to save the world but also to END the cycle of Hatred

Violence against violence does not end hatred

Vegeance does not end hatred

Forgiveness is the only way to end hatred

This is something Naruto has struggled with.

Forgiving Nagato was his first test of ending hatred.
Forgiving Obito was his final test of ending hatred.

You may dislike Naruto praising Obito and forgiving him. However you forget the show is about Naruto forgiving

Thoughts?
You are right, but forgiving someone like Obito after an hour seems ridiculous :|

Then why is he fighting Kaguya?
He should forget her for destroying the human lives
The same reason he fought Obito, and Madara, and everyone else. Just because Naruto has the strength to forgive the guys out to destroy the world doesn't make it unrealistic.

There are very few people in the world like Naruto who see beyond simple black and white ( you do bad I kill you mentality). Naruto is taking the high road. Which just shows his strength of character. In no way is he forgiving Obito or Nagato unrealistic. It's just a heroic trait found in seldomn few people in the world.

Sasuke is no less complex in his Nature than Naruto. Sasuke represents the aspect you are bashing Naruto for. His is the opposite of forgiving. He is the Avenger. This is what makes Naruto and Sasuke rivals as well as equals. They represent two sides of the same coin.

Forgiving someone is the ultimate way of breaking the cycle of hatred. People need Naruto's ability to forgive people, then everything would be right because then there wouldn't be any fights for revenge or whatever. Naruto forgave Obito for everything he has done to him, Sasuke, and the entire shinobi world, why can't people in real life forgive easily?

Yeah it is sad people just do not understand. Although, most people on here are kids and do not understand the concept of taking the higher ground

I never have any problem with being forgiving, I really condone it.

It's just praising Obito calling him "the coolest guy", that's a bit too much. No matter how big your forgiveness is, Obito was still the biggest criminal that had kill your parents and your friends and hundreds and thousands of other people. He had caused so many havocs and miseries.

Yet you called him "the coolest guy"? Isn't it inconsiderate? Wasn't you crying so much when Neji just died in the hands of Obito moments ago?

Theres nothing bad about forgiving others.

Its the fact that you call the man who caused the death of your parents and an entire clan "the coolest guy". Thats when it becomes bs, no need to go that far.

I'm fine with forgiving but why was he acting like Obito was his best friend all of a sudden? It's not that I don't understand the purpose or anything, it's actually really straightforward. And this is the problem for me, it's just too idealistic like others say. But well, I don't have anything against it, or people who find it inspiring - not everyone has to be cynical like me.
