Yeah, what people don't realize is that Itachi's eyes, while they are not his own originally he didn't borrow them, he took it and now it's his power, permanently.. He doesn't go "Oh Itachi could you please let me cast Amaterasu right now", he doesn't need to do that, he made that power his own. With Naruto he literally has to beg for help from Kurama whenever he's getting his ass handed to him.
