My sister wants to get into anime after I seen Bleach & Fairy Tail but those series aren't for a 10 year old (maybe when she's 12). So I was wondering what manga or anime is good for a 10 year old

I think Gantz is really good for young children to read.

Search for some comedy stuff. Magi might even be in the mix but the plot is too much to ask for a 10 year old I guess :/

Sailor Moon was made for little girls but I don't know if she'll like that.

You can always try Hamatora, K or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for her.

Is K for girls? I liked it. It wasn't deep or fast paced, but it just had a certain quality that I enjoyed

Dragon Ball is perfect if she likes Shonen

I might let a ten year old watch Naruto and I might let them watch Bleach, but they can be bloody and Bleach may be frighting, she may prefer to start on Shoujo and Dragon Ball if she is a bit squeamish with violence

Ranma, Tenchi, Outlaw Star, (maybe) obviously Pokemon and Yugioh, Sailor Moon, fruits basket, (perfect if she likes shoujo).

I would not let her watch Evengelion until she is at least thirteen o_O

A good meet in the middle is The Mysterious Cities of Gold, it was my introduction to Anime, although I believe it was made for the western market.

What about Hack? I only ever saw a few episodes but never saw anything unsuitable

K is a shounen but I can see it being for girls too.
Most likely because there are a ton of good looking men and slightly homosexual relationships.

Oh yeah animation and sountrack top-notch.

Here are some more series that could probably qualify as a good show for her.

Kuroko no Basket
Hataraku Mao-Sama!
Lucky Star
Nichijou
Gintama

The last 4 that I mentioned are all mostly comedy.
Gintama has some action in it.

One Piece is definitely not for children.

OT: Pokemon.
